Kabaneri has really lost a lot of steam recently. It was better when there were no big zombies (made of unexplained zombie clumps), zombie blasters (lol) and this silly villian which draws zero interest from the viewer.

Fate/zero is fate/stay night's prequel so it probably makes better sense to start with the latter. I appreciate zero more knowing what happens 10 years later.
I cannot speak for the original fate/stay night but its remake fate/stay night unlimited blade works is certainly worth watching

Gad when you said fate stay night I instantly assumed the original one, it's not disappointing per-se, but it simply doesn't hold a candle to the new Fate/Stay night Unlimited Blade works or Fate/Zero (I utterly hated Unlimited Blade works route before cause yknow Saber best gurl, and Blade works movie was awful to watch, but the new series is really good, only watched 1 ep and was hyped but gave up cause of the weekly releases and I was watchin like a dozen things at once, need to pick it up again).
Edit: OMG they're doing all three routes in seperate seasons HYPED!

I kind a dig it, it was kinda awkward in Clannad for instance where there was an ep dedicated to like alt universes and how his relationships with other girls woulda turned out and that was nice (messed up my heart strings tho). I guess if you pretend each one is it's own thing then I guess it could work out, but for Fate I'm mainly interested in a deeper insight into every character, like I never woulda seen that side of Rin without bladeworks, the movie was just bad, while the anime was right of the bat simply amazing, nailed Rin and Archer's characters, not seen Shirou I don't care what he's like so long as he's not as obnoxious as the old anime.
Sakura was always just there, typical clingy character, so can't wait for Heaven's Feel to see how her story plays out :3.

That's the thing, the series makes you curious to know more of the characters. Damn, fate zero is awesome. It improves the formula in a number of ways and packs more punch than stay night. Better servant presentation too.
Have trouble seeing Iskandar as a faithful representation of Alexander but he is such a likable idiot that I don't care Proper rider action too! Dafuq was the previous rider, she barely even appeared nor did she use a mount.

It wasn't till the kid reads a book on Alexander the Great that I realized his identity, though he was some barbarian warlord ^^'.
Ye her mount doesn't even appear in the original Stay Night, in blade works movie it makes an appearance as a pegasus IIRC, dunno about the anime.
EDIT:
Watching Samurai Champloo-- WHY HAVE I NEVER WATCHED THIS BEFORE!??!?! Recommended so many times, I was always indifferent despite it having sword fights two badass protagonists a friggin adorable female lead that's not an utter tool, but simply clumsy.

Finished fate zero, it was grand. I think it will take a little processing to take it all in, was well worth watching. Truly a worthy grail war ____________

Saber's screams really did tear at my heart strings. One of the most heart rending endings so many feels. Shame, anger, utter desbelief on Saber's part, mix that with perfect voice acting both Dub and sub and my god <3.
Not to mention top notch soundtrack.

It really completes the stay night storyline. A pity you have to do some searching to understand why some servants are evil, why the grail does not look so holy, what's the deal with Angra Mainyu or why the 5th war is set 10 years later instead of say 60. But overall zero has a far better exposition pace and neglects no characters even if some could have used more screen time.
Had not checked the dub but it sounds pretty good. Have to admit that I prefer Saber's original voice though.
And damn, do I love Iskandar. Such an epic fellow.

Never understood why Shirou became a servant, an anti-hero one at that, I get the whole bit that he was essentially following the same path of Kiritsugu and came to the same realisation as he did much later, but I always thought that he and Saber were finally released from the bond of servitude as heroic spirits by Avalon, or maybe in Archer's time that never happened. Not that any of this matters in the Bladeworks route as no doubt Shirou hooks up with Rin the main character of that route.

I understand that Archer decided the snow with this only after he'd seen first hand what he had to do as a heroic spirit.

Holy cow, original fate stay is really different from the remake. From the beginning I felt that Ilya and rider were missing screen time but the original takes care of that. Like a friend said, it's like a different playthrough. Heh.
But the art and the classic anime tropes disappoint me a little. Some minor contradictions with fate zero but not really important. Overall I find the original inferior but it has some important scenes that complete the picture so it's worth watching. Only a few episodes left before I move on to the ulimited blade works film.

I just hate obnoxious maincharacters with stock personalities, Eren from SNK, Shirou Emiya and Kazuto Kirigaya from Sword Art Online. I mean I loved that Saber finally got some love, but I friggin hate Shirou with a passion. Hate how the first animes that I fell in love with get so heavily weighed down with poor MCs, amazing soundtracks, and decent stories I guess.
Personally I found Bladeworks movie to be atrociously bad, it simply does everything wrong in my eyes, all the characters are belittled and pull the dumbest moves/plot twists.

Archer had the right idea about wanting to kill him Unlimited blade works was.. a really condenced version of the remake in a way. Fast forward mode, skipping a lot of stuff, especially background stories. Not impressed but I guess crapping so much into a film is hard to make it work.
Btw I liked the ending of the original. Properly bittersweet.
