Why not...
Hello, I am here at this forum for over half a year and I have seen many good artists.You, the artists, with some programmers can create a game(I prefer free software) and not just creating creatures that may never be used(I mainly talk to this artist that are creating their own creatures and they are not making creatures with parts of others(that doesn't mean that they are not artists)).
I mean yes WOG is a very very good mod, but with slow evolution.And what's better from mods? Games of course.
Are here any programmers and artists who want to spare time to a
free software / freeware game???For example a HOMM clone???
P.S.:I am not saing that WOG is bad

I like your kind of thinking but there is so much work on the "new game" and it will be just a waste of time if somenone try to do it for free.Let's wait and see what will come out in the next few months, maybe we will be surprised with a new project

Emm I don't agree that it would be a waste of time if it would be done for free.I can give you many examples:
1)Linux
2)Gimp
3)Open Ofice
and many others.

Wesnoth(I am translating this one too)

and many others.

It's a complete remake of Heroes written from scratch. It will use the data files from WoG but it won't be limited to it. You can check the site forum for more details.
