There is - or, will be - a Naga faction. It's the 10th and last faction which I have not yet uploaded. While the overall outline of the faction is done, I still haven't done the individual creatures and abilities. I can provide another spoiler here, and say that the faction will have a nautic theme, but won't have any ocean-dwelling animals like Whales or Squids (no Kraken, either). I can't remember the exact line-up from head, but it will be very similar to a Naga faction I suggested a long time ago, so to get the impression, you may look that up.

I finally had time to read through this. It was quite a job. Overall nice work alci.

There are a few points I'll adress here:

-Venom: only 5 points per creature? seems quite low, 20 scorpicores or wyverns will do 100 damage.
-Wolf: worg has howl and what does pack leader have? agility and taunt? not balanced, maybe make howl only 50% of the creatures or give pack leader much better stats than those of the worg
-Hydra: many, good divide between 3-and 6-headed attack. we don't want another mass produced dragon here so you'll have to make them more different
-pegasus: needs a rider, will it just flap it wings in battle or what?
-thunderbird: nothing even slightly relating to thunder so why the name?

Ps. cleaning the thread has moved some factions few pages back so the links aren't correct anymore

This is amazing! I like everything, including the factions and the spell/skill system. This is just the best Heroes 6 I've seen

Keep it up I would surely love to see the next Heroes of Might and Magic like this

Ill do some more review on 2 more factions, but ill shorten it down a bit. pointing out on more specific things.

Necro:
Tier 1: hmm? Why not make it go range or melee, not melee range?
Tier 2: will the ghoul and ghast be fast? like ghouls in DM???
Tier 3: You fixed the missing link in the ability: Incorporeal - that two incorporeal beings cannot miss eachother.
Tier 4: Where did you find those names: Moroi and Strigoi?
Tier 8: Dragon longing = Great new idea but is it a mistake not all of the upgrades have it?

Sylvan:
Tier 3: the whole lock aim seems to me, a bit modern and out of style..
Tier 5: is magic damper to overpowered on a creature? Good name solution
Tier 6: This is just allaround really good - Great abilities, names and

btw, when do we hear about the spells , since the word: fatigue keeps appearing , is it just like in HoMM4?

You mean that a skiled shooter can't focus on one spot to shoot at if he doesn't have an electronic scope?

Magic damper: That special was: enemy spellcasters must pay 2 extra spell points per spell when Silver Pegasi are present.

Yes, Ghouls and Ghasts will be faster and less tough than the Zombie branch, which will essentially correspond to the meat shields we have now.

No, this is not a mistake. The Dragon Longing was introduced as a balance for the quite potent Incorporeal ability which the defensive branch gains at first upgrade. Hence, the other branch looses the longing ability to even things out a bit.

Hmm, I know this ability is a bit difficult to grasp - one can only come up with that many simple abilities I guess. However, I must admit I find it very much in the style of the Sniper theme.

Yes, this ability is quite strong, particularly against Summoning Magic users, since Summoning spells are traditionally quite Mana intensive. However, I chose the 25 % solution rather than the 2 mana as to mirror the Arch Mage ability: Arch Mages used to provide a 2 mana discount, they now do 25 % discount, hence the change in Pegasi also.

The spells will be quite similar to the other thread I did* about spell suggestions for Heroes 6. There ARE changes, but I can reveal that Fatigue will be the mirror of Slow in the sense that Slow reduces Initiative whereas Fatigue reduces Speed.

Hmm... You did this

         Skeleton warrior-Skeleton archer    
Skeleton-
         Skeleton Guard-Skeleton protector

Instead of having the warrior going ranged, it would better if it was:

        Skeleton Archer-Skeleton marksman (fx)
Skeleton-
        Skeleton Guard-Skeleton protector

I understand the question now. My main reason for putting the ranged attack on only the second upgrade of the skeleton was because of the importance with ranged units in creeping. I wanted the ranged skeleton not to be too easily available - you need to invest both time and resources into upgrading skeletons twice, if you want this option.

It takes me half an hour just to take a quick look at your charts and diagrams, what a massive project.

10towns*8tiers*5 = 400 creatures??? Neutral is not yet included

The magic system is rather innovative, and the picture is well-drawn

Have you ever thought of a creature with double attack, cleave and assault?

Hullo there Alc,
Must say, heckuva job, they should hire you full time for this :-)

I must confess I haven't read each and every response post, so maybe somebody already said something similar, but I really don't like the fact that the Scavenger ability lets you resurrect creatures.

My suggestion is rather that - when devouring a killed enemy stack - the top creature regains full H and MAXIMUM HP for the whole stack is increased 1-3 HP, maybe depending of the size of the stack eaten.   Maybe some other perk as well, like increased initiative. The perks should be temporary, say three turns. No stacking of the perk, if using scavenge again while still influenced stack only gets the duration reset for three turns from then.

Scavenger is an already in-game ability and I noticed that alc usually doesn't change existing abilities. Probably following the old "don't fix what ain't broken" rule.

Correction: I DO change some abilities, like Incorporability.

However, I think Scavenger is pretty good as it is, although I also like the idea of increasing max HP through some mechanism.

Also, there are numerous multi-attack creatures, Haven and Stronghold have a couple each, Dungeon also. Can't remember them all.

That's why I said "usually", and Incorporability is broken so the rule doesn't apply.
