Super smash bros :Brawl!
I believe there was a thread earlier for this before it got out. But im not going to revive it.
anyway , i got it and i think its a oool game, its not difficult to understand basic strategies though for the most part im still clueless at doing proper special moves.
the supspace emmisary thing is nice, but playing it with someone else is a pain, the screen is always centered around the first player, and you get damaged if your off scren as the second player. if your too far away you get teleported to the first player however. but its still a very frustrating system.
Any thoughts about it? or strategies youd like to impart to a newbie?

so far as ive played on subsapce emissary it seems to be aliens invading that turn everyone to statues with the help of all the evil charcters

Gotta love the cutscenes. The CGI is excellant, just like the rest of the game.

It's a little strange, but I don't think it hurts the story any. After all, it's not like the story makes a whole lot of sense...

wulf you can play with a normal wiimote or wiimote+nunchuck or classic controller, or gamecube controller.

olimar is pretty bad in my opinion. takes a lot to master him.
Im fond of meta knight and the pokemon trainer personally.

Olimar is tricky to use. I'm not anywhere near proficient using him.
As to my favorite character, so far, it's still Sheik. I'm a bit bummed some of her attacks have lost some bite, but I love how quick she is.
As to other favorites, I've always liked Link due to his versatility and I like Ike for his power. Man, sounds like I'm endorsing President Eisenhower...

in melee jiggly was like the best character
edit: you mean tricky as in he has no real seperate special moves?

I haven't gotten Jigglypuff yet, so I can't answer that question.
As to Olimar, his specials involve his pikmin and if you don't have any on you, you can't really use specials. Actually, if you don't have any pikmin you really can't do except throw.

I have to say i raelly love the pokemon trainer.
He has awesome versaltlity, and hes not as hard to use as youd think.
Charizard is awesome ofr beating nearly anything. and ivysaur is good anti-air
I think its important to learn to use flamethrower at the right time and remember you have a decent B-up attack for charizard. to use the seed move all the time with ivysaur, seriously use it to excess when you can and then when you do if your playing against a player then switch tactics quickly.
squirtle is by far the hardest to learn. tricky shell move and a weak moves in general along with being light

This game is so incredibly awesome. I'm about 60% done the subspace emissary and have all the characters exept for toon link, wolf and jiggs (what my friends and I call jigglypuff).
In melee, ganondorf was my favourite, but now I cant play him at all, I dont really like the way he plays now, but he looks really cool. My favourite characters so far are Ike because he is just a beast, Lucario just because is so awesome, Snake because I love 'nades and Samus because she's an old favourite from the other 2 games. R.O.B is really cool and I would like to get good with him aswell, but I find that he is hard to use, however he is very very fun to play as.

ok so jigglypuff needs 350 vs matches or something like that cuz nobody has him.
And a little bird told me they did nerf puff.
lucario is pretty solid and he does extra dmage porportional to his status (dmg percent)
Has anyone found a favorite stage yet?
custom stage?large stage? gimmick stage? tourny stage? small stage?

I've made a couple stages of my own, my favourite so for being my Death Box. It's a small-ish box with only a single space missing from the top. My record for most damage on me in it so far was about 550%.
As for actual stages, I really like pictochat, bridge of eldin and castle siege. Shadow moses island is pretty cool aswell.

eldin is pretty nice...
I really hate snake, fox and meta knight.
i played today and they had a great moveset and i got ran down 9 times by fox .
Olimar is pretty tricky to use.

I believe jigglypuff needs event number 28 completed, or 350 matches. But i dont know what triggers events number 20-30
I heard jigglypuff is devestating

I just unlocked Jigglypuff and it does seem its rest ability is a little less powerful. Still pretty good though.
I finished the Subspace Emissary last night. I found it to be an enjoyable experience. Helped me unlock just about every character in the game except one I believe.
I've been messing around with the level editor and I'm glad it was included. While the game has more than enough stages, it's nice being able to make some more.
