imho the question of vampires being noble is similar to the question of elves having pointy ears and dwarves having long beards. i know there have been mythological vampires that didn't look noble, but i am afraid that in most ppl-s minds those bloodsuckers are associated with nobility just like dwarves are associated with long beards. so.. if this is supposed to be a game that has emphasis on experimentations with interpretations of the mythological creature looks, e.g. the elves don't have pointy ears (oh, they don't), and the dwarves don't have long beards that they tuck under their belt when they go to battle (well, they don't again), the reasoning for the noble looks of the vampire was weak indeed. but.. was the debate about vampire looking noble vs not noble? imho it was about the modernism, wasn't it? did i miss sth, or are ppl talking about some other debate?
damn, i am so conservative and convencionalistic when it comes to innovative creature looks in a game that i have always imagined to be a strategy game.. or actually an easy pastime rather.

Since all creatures are mythological so far in this game series, looks that h4 is a research ground for hi-tech creatures. And common perspectives( and inacurate ones too) also.So being conservative in my opinion is quite a good one. But, hey, afterall, not everybody read mythology and some people have heard of pegasi only because they've seen it in heroes....so expect everything.

this comes as a reply for Sandro in his new thread.
Monks look quite ok for me but the zealots of h3 were better.What should be changed in their appearance are the colors, especially the purple part.
About the vamp, no more comments, I'm tired and red.
What I would replace first of all is the ogre. I've already sent a drawing of the ogre to hmm4 but they haven't posted it yet.If they will I'll ask you to go visit my version. Also the thunderbird is a delicate matter. They look beautiful, but they do not belong to the barbarians. A roc would do better.

hmm.. can't help posting my favourite monk style here..
in homm4 the monks are made of too few polygons, no folds in their cloth. well, homm2 druids might be bit extreme, but sth in between would make them look like monks rather than.. what they look like in homm4.

i have read that some ppl are very serious about homm4 suggestions, and i think i have sth to make them take things easy, at least a bit more so.

Helllooooo there pplz!!!
It's been a while since I last checked the forum and man you did some talkin' here!!! 
What I wanted to know is if anyone (from 3DO maybe) has anounced anything new about the creatures looks (will they change them or will they let us here "talking to the walls" or somethin'???) I really do hope they'll change the vampire. All you would say won't make me cahange my mind... The new vampire it's a failure... a pity escuse... a FAKE!
