In my opinion it makes crappy maps. On extralarge RMG maps with dungeon I break 3-4 times more quickly than on the not-generated. When I rush on normal-sized RMG maps tha game lasts one week. Blah. Too... *can't find the right word* for me to call it good.

Favourite map? Beltway, especially my own version with minor tweaks which is currently in half-way.

Ahh, breaking news! Then try custom RMG Templates, I recommend one named Shield.

My most recent favorite is rat race.
For epic battles there's 'four kingdoms' and for quick 'day of colossus'.
Another one I like is 'mountains of wealth'.

Underground Treasures has a good mix of water, land, and underground. It's good for single player but not too long for multi-player either.
The Art of Strategy is a really fun map, but it's quick enough that it favors the "rush" based heroes, and I I don't like that.
Pretty much all of the large 8 player maps are great for single player, but I've become more focused on multi player and shorter games lately, so Underground Treasures wins the banana.

My favourites atm:
Rat race for some random fast paced fun. Short but gives some good battles. Similar but a bit shorter are dragon's cape and heritage of Deleb. I've also come to like art of war for its epic clashes and challenging earlygame.
Oh and school of sorcery if it counts Generally I appreciate maps that are hard to manage, require aggressive creeping but can be played with random heroes and not just picking the 'best' hero.

Can anyone recommend a good TOTE compatible 2 city map not for online play, where the AI acts reasonably smart?
I don't do much online play and don't like larger maps, but it seems like when I play Dragon's Cape or Heritage of Deleb (made for online maps) the computer doesn't really even try.
I've tried most of the Nival created ones, Former Friends is usually fun but there's no TOTE spells on it
Thanks in advance!

I like playing "Hourglas" because you can get your hero to lvl 30 by no time and really test the ultimate power of one race without being forced to your knees.. (and if I am right, it is Pandora who made the H3 version?)
But that is basicly the only I wanna play, still need some really good maps!

That's why you can and should use custom templates.
Check that map I generated a while ago: link.
