i agree: one time i was seiging a castle and the guy casted berserk on my dendroids so that they block my drgons siting next to them,and it affected only them(no fire then).I had exp water, but no cure and the previous round i already casted bless or haste(i don't remember) so dispel was no good.i casted teleport instead and so i could get my unit in battle without losing the turn with it.Plus i made the other guy waste his spell,backfiring against him.All with teleport.

This is a comparison of level 3 spells, not best creature.

Anyway..

If I play Fortress or Rampart, then teleport is always a great spell. I am thinking of Hydra and Dendroids of course..

With Necropolis, Animate Dead is the sure winner.

Otherwise, Air Shield and Anti-Magic are also great spells.

The worst one is no doubt Misfortune.

is this like a joke? i have never used anti-magic in a combat when i dont want to just exeriment. if anti-magic one creature, another will be targeted. thats the reason i dont use it.

the obvious best is teleport. in town sieges it makes a really big difference.

Expert anti magic:

Round 1. Antimagic on big stack of arch angels. The other troops attack and do damage to the other side. AAs ressurect cavaliers

Round 2. AAs wait, the other troops once again suicide on the other troops. End of round 2, its the AAs turn. ARMAGEDDON!!!

Round3. AAs turn, ARMAGEDDON!!  battle is won

armageddon raeally doesnt do THAT much damage + all your left-over units would die.

Thats the point...so would ALL of your opponents troops.....you have arch angels and your opponent has zilch,game won!
Oh BTW...Armageddon really DOES do that much damage!

Antimagic on AAs also protect against implosion. Its standard operating procedure to implode the archangels with the 1st spell, because they are so durable against melee damage.

And yes, your other units will die, thats why you suicide attack with them for 2 rounds before casting the spell. This is of course in the main fight not against the map

But sure, most of the time you dont have expert antimagic and armageddon, but Id still say antimagic is the best 3rd level spell because it also protects you against slow.

However you must have access to:
Archangels
Anti-magic
Expert Earth Magic
(and preferably a high spell power)
You'll never get that in short games. But if you do the strategy surely rocks.

As I said there are no good 3rd level spells. Anti-magic is nice, force field/forgetfulness allows you to apply some special tactics against the comp, and teleport may also be handy, but compared to the other spell levels 3rd level spells are weak IMO.

No, that's a bug. Same goes with "armorer" skill.
Expert armorer (on the attacker's hero) doubles the damage the towers deal in a siege.

really?... i haven't really noticed that... even when i've been playing tazar... i supposed i should pay more attention =)
Apart from that, Air Shield reduces the damage you take from ranged units =)

Yeh, agree with Russ, raise undead =) It's an excellent spell! only if ur nec...
