let ppl decide-war clan

I know the rule saying that in a clan war all 3 of clan mates have to play same map...lets say..."lets fight"

I would like to ask ppl and Ves if this rule can be changed...

For instance,some ppl love to play something else than leaders decide...on common agreement.

So, what if this rule will not be applied this time, or all time...?

or just players to decide...

Maybe right but we can't change the rules every time we are in disagree

This is the rule and it's not impossible to find a map that 3 player can accept and each leader have the authory to decide thinking also to all his friend

Second thing is that we fight for a precise land that we imagine is the map that we choose for fight if you not want to accept this play single map for clan

what is the problem?

3 player that wins 3 games gives to clan 9 points instead of 10
not a great changing you think?

Fiur: oh *ell no  I live in Norway I only wanna battle on native ground....
oh.....  (Elvin shows up from behind....  what about me I'm not a clan leader  but I don't know your country so well...  I rather  fight in Greece.....)

After a while  my beloved  fraudatio (according to Ves)enters the room  looking at that tactical map  and scream....
arghh a few weeks ago I was on a holiday  in Italy... and after that vacation I really know this country "inside out"  so if I'm going to war thats my spot....  I don't care what ya think....

after several hours with dispute in any direction I "raise" my voice
.... I'm the Clan leader if anyone can/should decide it's me......

all of a sudden it get all so quiet only some whispering......

Shoulder to shoulder Fraudatio and Elvin agree  yeahh let's our leader decide..... after all he was choosen by ourself...

well if I'm not wrong the answer is obvious......

if a clan leader challenge another clan leader on a map

(and the other clan leader accept....)
we all gonna play that map for sure....
(not sure if everyone must play with the same settings....tough)
some may vanna play "hero" style, some all random....  and bla bla..
nothing wrong with that I suppose....

I say communicate with your leader.... I personally think that is the challange and fun in the clan wars, is to have everyone play on 1 map...  if each player plays on a different map... then it isnt really an organzied war, but more 3 single clan games. Whats the point?  

For the record... I will NEVER agree to any war with any clan that they insist on playing all differnet maps. When we negotiate a war.. we decide 1 map, rules etc. And then we all fight on even ground, and may the best man win.

Just my 2 cents.

I fully agree with Jinxer here.....
A perfect war in my eyes would be all members play with the same settings.... (map, style, rules.....)

by the way...I have a question here...

If "hit and run strategy" doesnt mean 1 single final battle between main heroes, what means?

For example, enemy main hero attacks mine main hero and retreat, is this a hit and run, right?...No matter the reason hes doing that...

Otherwise he have to fight to the end...?

Few opinions are welcome...

hit and run for me is when a player send a "weak" hero with few army(maybe also the main hero also with some little army)in order to destroy part of enemy army and then flee.
But now the discussion can be very difficult because there are many many different situacion in a game that don't follow this sytem of playing and are not hit and run.
In our war diegis we use this rules but i don't think i will accept this thing another time because in every game we could find an hit and run.
I usually explore the land (as always i think) not with all army in castle and not ready for the final battle,but what happen if i find in the middle of the land the other main hero?
who attack?
who have to retreat home?
in this occasion it's a mine decision to attack,lose part of my army and then retreat trying to reduce the power of the enemy.
this can be consider hit and run?
this is not the final battle but if we introduce too rules every time
we will find someone that say that the other use "hit and run"

do a clear example:

at week 4 day 1 me dungeon break garrison with 7 scout and move to take utopia

at the same day a fully other hero break his part and move to take utopia

now?

should i flee home because i have a few army and you are full??

should i let you take utopia because you are full and me not with my army?

and if you attack me i can do a single implosion and the flee or should i let my hero die?

i never use hit and run tactic but this rule makes only confusion
first and last time for my clan.

This is the basic nature of why people dont like hit and run.. you "hit" causing damage then "run" before opponent has equal balanced chance to inflict damage.  My opinion is... if you are gonna run ... then just run... Now for example.. if you bring your main hero with his ENTIRE army and begin battle.. and fight big long fight and after 30 min intense battle it gets down to end I you see you cannot win and you wanna retreat... then FINE.. no problem there.... but when you bring your main army with only 7 stacks of Furies then your intention is to Hit & Run.. and you know what you are doing, so please dont act as if you dont understand the nature of hit and run

Ofcourse, once someone uses such tactics vs. me, they join onto my do not play list anyways..

i would NEVER play anyone with a no hit and run rule.  too much room for interpretation, and its not that easy to do in homm5.  In homm3 it was used an abused, but its not that effective in homm5.

I totally agree with Jinxer.
especially the second example. The extension of that is: when hes not coming with only 7 scouts, but 2 more hydras...trying to "explain" opponent this way hes not doing "hit and run" ...

Also, I am playing with hit and run...I always did,..thats y, speaking in my mates name, I try to explain what is that, cose confusion occurs in "hit and run" matter...

Because gmmari, you were talking like you knew for sure and the rule was very clear, which I know its not . but this will rise only..confusion between ppl.

Also, in this war of of us, im not sure i'd like to accept that playing against 7 scouts its not the same thing when fighting against 7 scouts and 10 hydras, when you attack and retreat in the end.

IT IS THE SAME..

On the other hand, it is totally different if Im attacking you in the first place..

jinxer you're right but i was trying to explain another thing.

If i attack you with a fully army and you are weak(for example 1 magma dragon and some dwarf)what do you do when it's your time to cast?
you not cast armageddon?
you not defend your game?
Don't tell ne now that you flee without casting because i will not
belive you..
Consider that every faction can do his particular tactic:
academy: have golem magnetic (immunity and heal with spell)
dwarf  : have Dragon  (armageddon tactic)
necro/inferno: have necro magic (a single puppet master and flee)
and so on..
Last consideration..the shackless..why developer created this artie?

But ves speak,thx boss

Jinxer and samiekl play on Battlezone (Jinxer refuses other map). Jinxer is dwarf, samiekl is dungeon. Both play a perfect game and meet each other in week 6. Wait, isnt it that when dwarves get pretty nasty? So i've heard, that from week 5 on, dwarves get pretty nasty. Now, what chances stands samiekl's dungeon vs Jinxer's dwarves?
To conclude, hitting and running already implies high risks (shackles, init arties) and its a way to balance things, so why ban it?
