goes to show how much i use them lol, i rarely ever use summon, so i just never noticed, i thought it worked on anything with a hp points amount attached to it. or things like slow (actually im not even sure about slow how often does a battle last that long?), i guess im wrong.

Anyways Implosion may be good on the first days, especially for a magic class hero. i once get a Titan from a Refugee Camp in first week. Went to Pyramid and get an Implosion. The next week I spent on preparations for Utopia. The Battle was easy, lol.
If I would get a summon spell, or a snow like magic mirror I couldn't even scratch those drags.
So I had a natural advantage that allowed me to achieve the rest of the most important spells.
Like Sacrifice which is very, very usefull spell, especiallyon L's and XL's, When armies clash with hundreds and thausands units.

the orb of silt only improves the damage meteor shower,death ripple,implosion and magic arrow does,it does not affect resurrection or elemental summoning.

You sure? Me Manual says otherwise. And about them orbs... If I have all four, how does that affect my magic arrow?

You will only get the bonus once. Magic Arrow is treated as a spell that belongs to all schools. Therefore the bonus for e.g. expert air stacks with the bonus from the Orb of Silt! (IIRC).
And just to stay on-topic:
Fly is a fifth level spell, but I think that dimension door is the best 5th level spell. (And magic mirror is definetely the worst).

The bast 5th level spell for fighthing is definitely implosion in my oppinion. Amazing damage!
For map spells i',d say dimension door. When having expert air magic and enough spellpoints you can easily travel distances that would usually take couple of days.

Implosion? I wouldn't say so. Frenzy, for example, could do A LOT more damage to the enemy.
I go with DD.

At least 1 Faerie Dragon,heroe with sorcery speciality,highest stats,dmg dealt is the highest dmg available(18508)to earth elementals or magmas.
So the best spell is Meteor Shower.

What happened with armegeddon? With black dragons and earth elementals its crushing. Otherwise, I'd go with Implosion, DD, and Resurrection (fly is good, but angelic wings, whatever they are called, will have the same effect.)

I haven't really expiremented with allot of them, but right now i would have to say Implosion or Conjure Pheonix.
