Guarders weird HoMM 6 expansion(or something like that)

The main idea goes into Urgash children. They was made some time after Ashas children was born, and therefor, only one of the four is a dragon, like Urgash. They were made like Urgash, full of Chaos, etc. It ended that the wisest one, Israet(part man, part eagle and part jackal) made a plan with her brothers to betray Urgash and take his seat of power. Unfortanely, the plan went wrong, and every Children of Urgash was imprisoned in the Doom Sea by Asha, her childrens and Urgash(!). Their worshippers was putted in prisons scattered around in Ashan. Urgash gave them power of the secondary elementals and other things, but they lost most control of the other things when they betrayed Urgash.

The Gods:

Israet: Goddess Of energy and wisdom. She is part human, part jackal and part eagle. She made her race a human like creature made of pure energy, with an egyptian theme. Archenemy of Arkath

Restandor: God of Ice and Judgement. He is Urgash oldest child and strongest, not to forget evilest and he is the dragon god. He made the Resharkls, as they call themself, out of a demon, a human and ice. Restandor is Shalassas and Elraths archenemy.

Relciand: God of Storm and Life. Portrayed as a half-monkey, half-human, he was the youngest of Urgash' children. His worshippers was the creature of the jungle, like baboons, monkeys, lions, etc.
Archenemy with Sylath

Oladarn: God of Metal and Vengeance. Olardarn looks like an old man, full of scars. His wings are like the succubus' ones, but with skin between the "fingers". His creations was cave dwelling creatures that fought the faceless. He is Malassas and Sylannas archenemy.

When Sar-Elem sacrified himself, Asha gave him power to froze the worshippers of the childrens of Urgash, as long as the demons was imprisoned(they thought that will be forever). They was not dead, but either living. Not like undeads, atually. When Sareth released the demons, the worshippers woke up, and escaped their prisoners. Destroying the balance in Ashan, the world, began disasters as earthquake, vulcano errupts, storms and meteors. The childrens of Urgash gave up their freedom to save the planet(each had their own wishes for it) to stop the disasters. Ashan was totslly changed, and a part of Sheogh had came up the the surface of Ashan(it looks now like the beta map).

I've always wondered how weird (and unbalanced) is having 8 order gods (Dragons) in H5, and only one chaos god. After all, about a half of the factions are chaotic, and all of them, except of Inferno, worship the gods of order. That just clerifies the fact that H5 has devived the factions very simply: Good vs Evil, completely ignoring the imbalance and the lack of logic it creates with the Order vs Chaos. Children of the chaos gods ( = chaotic gods ) may fix the problem. However, there should also be a reducement of the order gods. Some of them won't be needed anymore, and they should be taken also in order to create balance between gods of chaos and gods of order. Some of the Order gods should be good and some evil, and some of the chaos gods should be good and some evil. That would make things much more logical.

I assume that the topic will be more active and intruguing after the ICTC ends. Right now the contest draws all the attention of the Altar's community, and like o Altar gets a bit abandoned, but after it, there will be an increased activity around.

A nice egyptian army!
What about a War Chariot unit? It fits it so well.
The one upgrade can be a Chariot Archer.

8 order dragons?

Personally I like the Dragon system, preferring the lack of symmetry. Indeed, I think doing what you say would only make the good/evil thing even worse, although never having completed all the campaigns, I guess I'm not really in a position to argue .

Don't say the whole storyline before i write it in the master Post.

Thanks about the chariot idea. I think i will remove the Wadjet, lower camel to tier 3 and put in the chariot at tier 4

From http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes5/timeline.shtml:

The Revelation of the Seventh Dragon
Sar-Elam the first wizard reaches the conscience of the Dragon of Order who teaches him on the nature of matter and spirit and shows him the higher path of power. Enlightened by his new understanding, Sar-Elam becomes the Seventh Dragon.

(Guess I screwed up, I meant Sar-Elam.  Sorry.)

However, even though the Elemental Dragons are created by the Dragon of Order, they are not Dragons of Order themselves! The description of the Dragon of Air and Dragon of Fire clearly shows a rather chaotic aspect of their personality, and I think the Elemental Dragons are clearly separate of the Order/Chaos duality.

I guess the point was that, apart from the Inferno, all of the factions and their gods are represented in some way by either a Good, Neutral or a Lawful aspect, in a game where essentially killing things is one's main goal.  I'd agree that this is a little strange.

This is the way I see what we have now - this doesn't represent the actual factions btw:

Elrath: Lawful Good
Sar-Elam: Neutral Good
Sylanna: Chaotic Good
Asha: Lawful Neutral
Shalassa: True Neutral (?)
Arkath: Chaotic Neutral
Malassa: Lawful Evil
Urgash: Chaotic Evil

I dont really think Sar-Elam became a dragon... seems very weird that he just transformed into a dragon.
I think it was just a title, that he had the powers of the dragons.

In H5, there is a lawful and chaotic evil, but there is no such thing chaotic good, which comes out usually as protesting and objection to unfairness. But Nival made both Renegades and Orcs evil (not that it's bad), so after all, we got nothing that represents chaotic good.

I won't call Sylanna chaotic, 'cause that would make the Elves chaotic as well, and they are the most peaceful, calm, quiet creatures in Ashan, and chaos is the opposite of them. They don't seem lawful though, so maybe somewhere in the middle. I would make "the Elven Codes" in H6 to make them good and lawful.

@Xerox, if there's one thing that I've learned about Cepheus, it has to be: don't argue with him about historical facts.

Yeah, I get what you were saying on the Elves.  However, keep in mind that

Quote:

and was more aimed towards the Dragon Gods themselves.  For example, Markal and his Necromancers are clearly evil, but Asha - the god they worship - having opposed Urgash, the epitome of Chaos, can't really be classed as evil.  Unless you'd be willing to call Urgash chaotic good or neutral...

The whole Dragon Gods thing is a little too overcomplicated and obscure if you ask me.

Well, for example, the Tatalians in Heroes III were enslaved for centuries and mounted a bloody rebellion against their oppressors.  They protested and objected to unfairness.  This doesn't mean they are chaotic in nature, it just means they value their freedom.  The Orcs could also be Chaotic Good: yes, they pillage and burn in the first mission, but they too have been enslaved for hundreds of years and are trying to claim what they see as justice - that doesn't mean they're evil at all.

Too many animals! If you want to have a faction with a lot of beasts, make mythilogical creatures, mosters, etc., not only animals. What is the race of this faction? What about humanoid creatures that will lead the beasts or stick them together?

That fction is more HoMM3 than HoMM5(no single race). They was all worshippers of Relciand and jungle creatures(no cave harpy anymore), and therefor imprisoned. Relciand united them, and he has a avatar randomly choosed by them(king). So it's more like an alliance from different factions putted into one

Shalassa = The oceans are somewhat Chaotic
Arkath = Fire is chaotic
Sylanna = Nature is NOT orderly
Sylath = Wind?  'nuff said

Now, about the Pyramid:
Quote:
Hardoon

After I finished laughing about this, I decided it was best to suggest changing the name.

I like the core philosophy.

The theif is a nice level 1, but levels 3 and 4 are very similar.  If you can mix them up a bit it would help.  Pharoah is a bad name for a unit, cause you can't have multiple Pharoahs.  Perhaps "High Preist (of Isaret)"?

The anubite is awesome.
