Dont compare this with homm term's..
I'd have to say knight. They have a *tick* in they're mind which make's them survivor's, no matter the situatioin, be it wood's, swamp's, whatever, they find mean's of survival.
They are the mighty, and they're mech/eng skill's can surpass anyone in the world's. Blacksmith's & armorer's are closer to knight material than anything else you've mentioned.
Also.. I like that cleric thing you mentioned

People like to play with them, but nobody wants to be a necromancer in real life.

I disagree! LoL. I know many such people, this comm is just too small to have the heroes of the kind.

Well...
As you all can see I'm a Warlock as I always have been. I choose this class cuz I like dungeon and spellpower. I have always liked their mysterious apperiance in a cloak...
