Why does one need an ini bar? Turn order can be calculated easily without it, and it feels unnatural (sorry, I know it sounds harsh, but still) in H3.

What I don't get is why HoTA team wants to make their own initiative bar?

I'm also curious where did roger9 get it?

Sweet concept with the ini bar Though I'd prefer if they had done it H5 style, and placed it down where it says: Attack "creature name" when for an example hovering over an enemy unit.

Then you could make a H5 lookalike for when you hover over an enemy creature, and make it do the calculations of how many would die

I don't want to sound like a snow, but I'd prefer if an option to disable the ini bar was included. - call me old-fashioned, but I don't need it, and it wouldn't feel H3-like for me, just like the annoying little graphics changes in WoG. Of course, I thank the awesome members of the HOTA team for all that they have done, and I will accept their decision no matter what.

That's a very good question. Especially because of polish text on the bottom of screen ("Atakuj [insert some unappropiately coded cyrillic here]").

How's the english translation going?

And no, I'm not asking when it'll be out.


Also, something I was wondering about, I know that the new orc model was because you wanted to stick close to the original design, but why give Pikemen/Halberdiers new models?

I really like the new models and would like to see even more new models!
If someone doesn't like them.. it's easy to replace them or just don't play HotA

I read somewhere that all the models are done in 3D and later converted to 2D sprites and because of that they look a bit more realistic

The pikemen are disliked by lots.

Abd orks... they're wrong.
In Homm2 and 4 r=tahe're dusplayed as boar-like orange skin creatures. So as on puzzle map of Heroes 3. But for no reason against all logic and storyline we have blatant green orc.

I don't dislike the old ones at all, both Pikeman and Orcs look great to me, but it would be helpful if they make it so you can choose between the models or just make 2 executables each loading its own models

If somebody do not love it then that person can return sprites back using any of tools for .lod packing
