I translated first part of the changelog. My own notes where I did not understand something are in red color. I'll translate changelog 1.0 -> 1.1 later.



All new features are not available in map editor and random map generator, however, objects such as "random monster", "Random Hero", "Random Town", etc. will work correctly and generate new creatures/heroes/towns when needed.

I. New town type: "Cove".

II. Creatures.
 1. New creatures of the Cove town, their dwellings, weeks and months of creatures.
 2. Added month of sprite.
 3. New graphics of pikeman, halberdier, dendroid-Soldier, Orc, Orc Chieftain.
 4. Added "No melee penalty" to Orcs and Orc Chieftains.
 5. Increased health of Imps and Familiars by 1.
 6. Psychic and Magic Elementals cost more and have their speed reduced by 2.
 7. Increased cost of Fire Bird and Phoenix and reduced their growth to 1.

III. New heroes for the cove faction. Class names: Captain and Navigator.

IV. The new war machine capable of firing both units, and fortifications.

V. New abilities.
A. Abilities of creatures.
1) Accurate Shot (Sea Wolves) - a chance to kill a few extra creatures after the shot. (Like gorgon's death stare)
2) Bloodthirst (Ayssid) - if the attack killed at least one enemy creature the Ayssid attacks second time.
3) Cast after shot (Sea priestess and sorceress can cast weakness or disrupting ray).
4) Ignore part of attack skill of attackers (Nix (30%), Nix Warriors (60%)).
5) Revenge (Haspid) - If Aspid receives damage, it's damage is recalculated by the following formula:


B. Specialized characters.
1) Scouting (Miriam) - +3 scouting range.
2) Clone (Eovatius) - the first Clone spell in battle costs double mana, and creates three copies. (Picture)
3) Forgetfulness (Zilar) - Double duration of forgetfulness.
4) Sea Dogs (Bidley) - Upgrades Pirates and Corsairs to Sea Dogs

VI. Additional upgrade of unit: pirate -> corsair -> Sea Dog.

VII. Boats.
 1. Each type of shipyard in town builds its own type of boat.
 2. New types of boats for Conflux, Cove and adventure-map shipyards.

VIII. New objects on adventure map.
 1. Dwellings of Cove creatures.
 2. New creature banks.
 3. Fixed some of standard objects.
 4. New objects with functionality of original ones (water teleporters, water garrisons, etc.)
 5. New decorative objects.

IX. Interface updates.
1. You can now run multiple instances of the game.
2. Sounds are played in separate thread without halting gameplay.
3. Fixes to battle interface.
 1) Added standing animation for all creatures.
 2) Fixed glitches with delaying animations, redrawing, repainting, clear overlay image in the battle.
 3) Increased speed of battle (depending on animation settings).
 4) Ability to skip pre-battle sound.
 5) Missile of Gogs, enchanters, storm/ice elementals explodes after hitting.
 6) Special death animation (section 6) is played if creature died from spell.
 7) Replaced the implosion animation.
4. Numerous glitches in Town screens, especially Conflux's.

X. New backgrounds in the interface.

XI. Campaigns, and maps.
 1. Campaign-prologue "Under the Jolly Roger."
 2. The campaign "Storm of the Seas."
 3. Maps for single and multiplayer games.

XII. Fixes of SoD bugs (version 3.2).
 1. Fixed crash realated to rumor generation when loading map.
 2. Added exit of infinite loop when AI's army is too big.
 3. Removed the need for AB files to use conflux.
 4. Fixed infinite ammo of war machines.
 5. Fixed probabilities of faerie dragon's spells.
 6. Fixed bug when movement penalty was not applied if hero had neutral creatures.
 7. Fixed incorrect calculation of arrow tower damage.
 8. Fixed the sound of Rogues.
 9. Fixed descriptions of guardians of creature banks and mines.
 10. Fixed cloning of 2-hex creatures.
 11. Fixed crash when magical obstacle (Force field or fire wall) is removed with "Remove obstacle" spell.
 12. Fixed display of the stack attack bonuses.

Well, the 1st and 2nd campaign are ready, but only the first videos. Strange thing is that we all know the names of the monsters but they are still not translated.

100% translation might be availabe at 1.2 or 1.3 but im not sure actually when. I just want the random map generator to be ready as soon as possible. And im pretty sure at 2.0, Kronverk town will be availabe. And HotA 1.1 is already released.

You don't seem to be a very reliable source as it is very well known that the next installment of HotA (2.0) will introduce Forge and a new campaign to it. This has been said by the HotA team itself.

It has also been said that the English version is to be released sometime this autumn. What is not known however is that if the english version will be a translated version of 1.1 or if it will be 1.2 or something else.

I am also aware of the fact that HotA 1.1 is released. I never said it wasn't. I asked if 1.1 ENGLISH VERSION was the next step.

It was very buggy and was made in ugly way, that's why it was hard to fix it. It also was almost useless in gameplay and had some conceptual problems like buing cheap artifacts with expensive creatures.

English release must be soon, sooner than the next version. I've already said that we will continue releasing versions without great code futures. We are working on 2.0 too, at the same time (the code will be fully rewritten in it). But 2.0 means only code solution of adding more new towns, I can't promise that Forge will be ready when it will be done.

If someone is interested - unofficial Hota page has been actualized. Not all is available in English, still there is some useful information and a lot of graphics in gallery.

Translation is rather unofficial - it will be changed with the release of English version of HotA.

Great. One thing for now: in the page with descriptions of creature banks, rewards are named "price" for some reason.
You can also add the changelog I translated to your site.

Also about creature banks: In my opinion the battle background for new water creature banks beholders' sanctum and Sea temple (as well as original shipwrecks and derelict ships) should be something other than this clean ship's deck. I think that would be more convincing than it is now (imagine a group of adventurers exploring large abandoned building, full of creatures with tentacles and for some reason these adventurers get ambushed on a nice cleaned boat). IIRC there were some quite fitting battlefields posted in this forum.
