No, they are NIXES - big water creatures, which had too many concepts to tell what it actually resembles.

Can someone from the Hota team please inform us here about the artifacts too. In Hota page it says 150+ new artifacts which i think is much more important than the new town when it comes to playing random maps. the russian version has no new artifacts though. Will the english version come with them?

There should be some new artifacts in next versions (like, I don't know, Horn of the Abyss itself? ), but what, when, why and if for sure - it remains unknown.

The Hota team should release and new schedule thing that they plan to do, it would make it so they don't have to answer the same useless questions repeatedly.

I guess after 3 years of will-be-released-or-not arguments and using awful quality graphics ripped from HotA screens or gifs in many projects, HotA Crew is very careful with such things.

After all, with released graphics there will be no need to rip images from screens. That Nix with two sided axe and some other creatures look way too awesome to be left unused somewhere. I might even try to find some time to make some mod myself.

What do you think of these? Made them in photoshop when I was bored. Atleast three of the pictures are artwork from the game "Pirates of the Carribean: Armada of the Damned".
And yes, I know the HotA logo looks completely retarded when looked close upon. I didn't remove the background very carefully.

The black box in the first version was too big so I had to tweak that.
I will do better work in making the HotA logo's background transparent later.
Warmonger, if you'd like to use these backgrounds I can upload the .pcx files for you instead of these converted .jpg images.

HD resolution, according to standards, is 1920 x 1080. You can also use any bit depth and .pcx for these.
Also, why do you ever need that black box, anyway?

Alright, I'll get to it.
You don't. But the original picture of the pirate (http://hdwallpapers.us/cg-art/pirate-artwork-hd-wallpaper/) had the pirate centered. I wanted the pirate to be centered to the left of the menu and therefore had to "extend" the picture on my own. The black box helped me do it since the menu will be where the black box is anyway.
