There are a few towns already made, Grove, Axolotl (water?), Forge, Covenant. It is only a matter of coding once the graphics are there.

I don't think these are ready yet. And Axolotl is the author, not a new town. 
Also these towns need something more than graphics (even if they have very good graphics). It's about having original towns with new abilities, not the copies of existing ones (like it's in most parts with Grove, Modern Forge and Covenant, especially with the first one). That's the power of Cove and it probably won't change for a long time...

I know Axolotl is the author, didn't recall town name. I have no idea how VCMI will implement new towns, but with source code it should not be very hard. If they can make new town, abilities will follow.

If you didn't recall author's name, you should call it "Axolotl's town". Also - abilities aren't that easy to input since AFAIR it took almost two years between adding Cove into the game and giving it new abilities (which contained at first several bugs). Even for reverse engineering it's a very long period, and if VCMI wants to have multiple towns in game, it would take even longer to make it somehow playable.
And don't forget that VCMI isn't fully playable at the moment, and that's where HotA - even with its flaws - wins.

I don't like creating hypocrite competition between Era, VCMI and HoTA. Each of them has its strengths and flaws (probably the only flaw of VCMI will be new language to learn, but it depends on modders dedication and patience)

Hota team requests to close this entire thread. There's no use in it but only usual "Q-When? A-Soon" and walltext trolling before the English version will be released.
So We're planning to open new topic specifically for english version as soon as it will be released. Until then there's no need in this.

Normally I would ignore your post, but since you're talking about intelligence, I couldn't resist.
For me it's definitely not intelligence, but the opposite. I can name lack of progress anything but intelligence. It's just sticking with things that are simple and explaining that everything else is worthless while the real reason is that you're just too lazy to learn something. And not learning is the thing that actually makes you more stupid, not more intelligent, while you have no clue what's going on.
You say that learning the whole language just to play one game is somehow stupid, but well - that's what I actually did. Polish and Russian aren't that similar to understand each other if you know only one of them. And so when I've learned at least a little of Russian, I wanted to make it somehow useful. And there are the effects. Stupid you say? Maybe. But at least I achieved something while you achieved nothing. Except annoying some.
Also learning a whole language for one game is what many people here do. That's because of e.g. ERM. The whole language of scripts made just for one game. And people still learn it! For one game! And that's not the only thing - there are many amateur artists, programmers and reverse engineers who wastes their time just to make some mods that not so many would play. Without them there would be no HotA, no ERA, no VCMI, no WoG, no hundreds of mods, no modding. Without learning your offer of making a new English add-on wouldn't be there.
If you still think that it's stupid - I don't think it's a community for you.

At the same time writing manner of DarkElfAxis heavily resembles the writing style of former Hota team member Baklajan. He was accused (and I'm still accusing him) in leaking pre-alpha of Cove town on 2ch (or 4chan or whatever imageboard). I don't state that DEA is in fact Bak, but... The butler is a murderer!

I'm trying to avoid closing the thread but you people are making it mighty difficult. This thread is about a mod, not about the merits of learning a new language. There are plenty of active off-topic forums here at HC. If you aren't discussing specific questions and issues related to the Horn of they Abyss, then do not post here. Furthermore, the HotA team members have made it clear that no English translation is currently available and they don't want to speculate yet when it will become available, but I'm sure they will make a clear update about progress when they see fit to do so. Until that time comes, there's no point beating a dead horse.
This is the last warning.

Do not be so sure about that  .
Small suggestion: Add with red+bold font on front page that they just do not want to speculate, do not know when an English version will be released and that the progress is very very slow on that, or whatever.
Otherwise guys like me that do not know who is rightfully announcing a date and who is a cleverly disguised as a troll will keep taking them on those dates.
