Hola a todos de nuevo

Sigo teniendo problemas... los enlaces que ustedes me dejaron ya los había encontrado en esta pagina y en otras pero mi problema sigue siendo el mismo. Una vez que lo instalo no me da ningún error, pero cuando ejecuto el héroes todo esta normal, como si nada se hubiera instalado... y cuando quiero jugar a cualquier mapa de Hota me saltan los errores diciendo que no se encuentran los archivos (file) de arboles. montañas etc

SI alguien pudiera ayudarme se lo agradecería. Mi versión de windows es el 7 y la versión del héroes es el complete. Lo digo por si os sirve de ayuda

¿Has ejecutado el archivo h3hota.exe que habrá aparecido en la carpeta donde tienes instalado el juego?

I have an idea for further advancement of Heroes 3 HotA (or rather WoG):



After a siege battle the walls and defense towers don't rebuild themselves, but remain in same condition!

If you succesfully defended your town, after the battle an automatic message pops up and says:

"Your town defense is greatly decreased. Rebuilding the damaged Castle Walls and Towers cost XXXX gold, XX Wood and XX Ore. Do you want to rebuild it now?
(If you choose No, the damaged walls may not withdraw the next attack. You can rebuild the walls anytime by right-clicking on the Castle in the Town screen.)"

If you lose the combat, and the town is captured, this message pops up for the new owner of the town.

If the attacking side attacks with 2 or more Hero (the first one have only one creature and expert Ballistics), but the first escapes after the catapult shoots, this auto rebuild message always pops up...

Another idea:

Maybe you can add defensive war machines on the walls. For example two ballistas on the middle wall, below the northern Tower and above the southern Tower.

I found a nice .def file in HotA.lod, but I don't know what can it be. Maybe a spell, or a new creature ability animation?
its name suggests, that is a spell but it never turned up in the game. Its name is C07SPE1.def

Anyone know it?

Oh, but it is a good animation, they shouldn't have it wasted if it is already created....


I have a question about implosion spell:

It is a good thing, that the animation and sound was modified. I hated the original, that was ridiculous and unsightly. It neither looked like some 'explosion', nor an 'implosion', and I wondered why? I tried to copy and paste this new animation to the original H3sprite.lod, but when I searched through HEROES3.snd file I found a file named: DECAY.wav, what is the sound of the implosion spell.

And my question is: Why is an implosion spell is called 'Decay'? I think this ridiculous animation and the file named 'Deacy' once belonged to another spell, which is turned down and removed during the developement.

I guess, the original thought of this spell was something like the death wave, but it may took damage in every turn (like the Wywern Monarch's poison).
I miss a good Necro-style spell from Heroes 3, like decay or plague as it was in Heroes 4 (with the animation of rats)
And this red animation of the implosion spell for a decay-like spell doesn't seem so ridiculous.

That will be good if some new good spells will be implemented in HotA.

I see most of the dwellings only slightly redrawn from Ukrainian or Polish Forges.
Is this townscreen is the final version, or you will replace all the buildings by your own?

Lolwut? Redrawn buildings are created on the base of original NWC sprites from the Forge alpha town screen, that has been drain by someone of former developers (the same graphics has been used by Polish and Ukrainian Forges). And, yes, this screen - is outdated and irrelevant; actually, this screenshot was irrelevant even in the time of publication. However, even in this screenshot, almost half of buildings was modeled by don_komandorr.

Yes, in the final version of the screen all the buildings will be original. Actually, according to published "promo" renderers of our original models of buildings can be easily to understand that now the new graphics is ready for almost all of them.
