I like it with its archaic mortar cannon and damage range of 1-9.
Kronverk as a whole augurs great with its new Rune Magic concept.
However, it is at leat postponed and the next town is likely to be Forge.
You are again compalining about things that are not or will not (soon) be included.

I'm playing with dwarf cannoneer and don't think he don't fit H3 style. He's done in same style as other cronwerk units.
Maybe not so brilliant unit, but this is a dwarf faction, not glamorous elves or else.
Only think that he's better on 5-6 level with catapult ability.

So I cannot give my opinion on it because it might never happen? That's silly. Feels great being part of this homely community! I'm not the one trying to dominate this forum with my own ideas about things. I guess this is what happens when a community lacks new blood.

I also don't see how Forge (Machines) fits in with trying to create expansion-like content that is the HotA project. Maybe the next will be aliens from space? (That's a joke). But that's just my opinion on that.

What's so bad about Aliens faction? There is Covenant town already published, and its not ruining HMM3:

Nothing at all my friend. Actually, it's awesome in its own way. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy it and think it's a great mod. I just don't think it fits in with what seems to me to be the goal of HotA design.

As for me I don't see the goal of HOTA any other, than to make some new towns. All other goals are just bluff IMHO.
If on DF2 near completion was town of ghost mouses, it would be included in HOTA

Yes, I know it's old stuff.

I see, that's interesting. I didn't think they'd go in that direction, so that is news to me. Well, I don't actually personally mind it if I can just turn that town content off. I love the Cove town and one town is more than enough for me + new balance + a few well-thought-out changes to the core game. More stuff is rarely better in my book.

I think it fits in for a game like Killing Floor. They actually just added it. I do think a canon and flint pistols makes perfect sense for pirates, though. But that's the absolute tech limit in my book.

They are working on it, definitely.

PS As there are several Forges already, I started to think, that HOTA had mistaken. Cathedral is much more wanted faction among users. And it's more interesting, that another repaints of similar creatures.

I just don't understand why the team didn't prioritize finishing the translate + polishing the Cove - and HotA in general - before starting to make a completely new town?

I see they're discussing the option to disable towns, though, but there's no confirmation about it, yet. That's great in theory as it would make everybody happy. They could add Halo aliens then for all I care. I'd imagine that it'd be rather difficult to add such an option, but if they don't, people like me would probably just stick to SoD, even though I think the Cove town is damn beautiful work. Forge is a radical town, even if you love it. The Cathedral sounds like something I'd personally like. Good theme and nothing too radical in terms of SoD standards.

We do not think it was a mistake. And our Forge will not have repainted creatures from other factions — the current lineup is much more interesting.

Cathedral lineup is much more interesting.
I don't think that rotating droids and deia goblins are very interesting.
PS Polish Forge is moving to converted creatures direction because it don't want to be HOTA Forge clone. And I think their idea is more interesting than another set of modern weapons troopers set.
Their conversion can became new necromancy-like killer feature.
If their manage to convert at least one creature from each standard town (except conflux), they'll produce super idea.
I like it more, that HOTA idea now.

Actually, making a completely new town is a low priority goal. But there is enough number of people who makes graphics in team, so they often can allow themselves to work at things they want, no matter theirs priority.
