"Life is change, chaos, filth and suffering. Death is peace, order, everlasting beauty."
I play mostly with Necro, faction because of this motto above and this below
My motto:
"It doesn't matter if you like me or not, agree or disagree, hate or love, after battle we will be as one, you will serve me for all the time in the world"
For me Necro are ultimate heralds of peace(Rest In Peace or Pieces) and order.
Necro power/strenght graph throught the begining of HV to ToTE look like parabola. They where very powerful reached the bottom in HoF. and now is somewhat better. Yes there is still an nostalgy for power. Now playing playing Necro against humans is really chalenging therefore more satisfaction when you win.

Dungeon of course. Not only it's my favorite, but also is the only one which I'm good with.

I voted Dungeon. Its the faction that has kept me busy this whole year. Before I always played Inferno since the original HOMM5.

Just because Clover can do it, it doesn't mean that you can do it to... Like 1 Imp killing 2 Arch-Angels

Excluding Stronghold, I'm pretty diverse with what factions I play. I simply have zero interest with Stronghold. Haven would be #1 followed closely by Inferno. These days I'm an Inferno fanboy, but I'm positive that I've played the most Haven overall.

Haven (ofc, since I am a haven player)
While it seems like haven is a pure-might faction, it can actually employ a diverse array of strategies to succeed, even a somewhat magical route wih the hero haing two magic schools (usually, it is light and dark, but I can also think of cases where summoning magic can be helpful, at least tactically).
It is also an easy faction for beginners to play, though its early-game difficulty in creeping can be annoying for them.
