In my opinion, overally, Sylvan is the best designed faction. All its creatures (well, maybe except of the Treant) look simply amazing.
My top 10:
1) Druid Elder - Just beautiful. Gives you the magical feeling of the forest.
2) Dryad - Pixie, Sprite and Dryad are beatiful, but the Sprite is a bit too snikky, like she has lost some pounds in the upgrade, and the pixie needs a bit more colour.
3) Berserker
4) Silver Unicorn - Same reason as the Druid Elder.
5) Phoenix
6) Wraith - The colours are just so suitable to the Wight. I thought that any colours added to it would destroy it, but the Wraith managed to surprise me.
7) Water Elemental
8) Arch Angels - Because of the death amimation.
9) Archmage - Because of the spellcasting animation
10) Succubus Mistress - It's so hot... With all that fire.

i like the imp, familar, and vermin.
also the banshee and raskasha thing is awesome.
the only ugly creatures are the gargoyles and most of the dwarves

I would say almost every single creature in this game looks very well, with some being simply breathtaking. I particularly like Archangels, Cyclops, Titans, Archdevils, Horned Grunts (;d)... many of them.
This question would better fit in the Heroes IV forum. Damn, in Heroes4 the developers must have been PAID to make the creatures as UGLY as they could. There were but 5 to 8 creatures that looked nice and sensible (Pikemen, Archangels, Dwarves... emm...), while the vast majority looked or moved like shlt: Devils with their idiotic pitchfork instead of a hand, white tigers hopping like rodeo horses, geenies flying animation looked like they were pushing a baby carriage, Black Dragons looked as if starved to the brink of death, and so on.

Sylvan - High druid, Pristine unicorn, Emerald dragon
Fortress - Blackbear rider, Lava dragon
Stronghold - Paokai, Cyclop
...Death knight, Phoenix looks awesome...
IMO Infernal units are the best looking creatures/types

I like most Fortress creatures but Whitebear Rider and Lava Dragon are by far the coolest. I also love the Crystal Dragons from Sylvan.

I like the original upgrade line of haven. The white and gold colour looks really cool (marksman, squire, imperial griffin, inquistor, paladin and archangel)

The Crystal Dragons look too similar to the Grren Dragons as far as I'm concerned. They could do anything with the model, but the only thing they did is having changed the color.

Good point Dexter. It must be tiresome for color-blind people to have to constantly right click all the creatures to tell them apart.

I don't think that this  and this  are the same model.
In any case, texture is part of a creature's beauty imo.

They are almost exactly the same model. The only difference is a small alteration around the mouth, and part of the neck / tail "fur" has been trimmed through alpha channels.

The Archangel and the Djinn Vizier is very detail full, and looks very awesome!
But my favorite "rated by looks and details" are the Dryad's.. Reminds me about old deep dark forests with magical life?
