I just tried a Conflux vs Barbarian game and the water elementals are clearly overpowered. By separating the creatures in 7 stacks, your army can deal massive damage at low cost. One group of 21 water elementals deal 180 points of damage while 7 groups of 3 will deal a total of 504 points of damage.

The Conflux hero rushed the barbarian before the end of week #2 and easily won the battle. I think the initiative of water elementals should be reduced from 10 to 5. This would mean this creature would have only one free shot before being engaged in melee.

no, that means he would never play.

another solution, make it a shooter, and say the shooting animation is an ice bolt.

With their current initiative, water elementals can cast twice before being engaged by fast creatures like blood maidens. This type of creature stands no chance in front of this unit.

Moreover, the damage dealt by the water elementals is independent of the hero level. It makes a level one hero overpowered when its army is composed of this kind of units. Transforming the unit attack to ranged would have the advantage of scaling the damage with the hero's level.

Thank you guys for your time, I'm surprised how many posts appeared when I was away

my propositions (based on your posts)

- decrease Pixie's & upg growth and increase HP (remember you can always artifice them with the + HP artie as well)
- decrease Ice & Water Elemental's initiative to 7, Blizzard's to 9
- change Resurrection to adv. Slow
- tier 2 max-min dmg +1 and +1 attack
- decrease Thunderbird's attack to 27 and max damage to 60
- Fire Elemental + No Melee Penalty
- tier 5 -15 HP

I've already switched the IDs, so now we have Erdamon with Earth Elemental speciality and Kalt with Logistics. That was truly a great suggestion.

If we have Earth ele special now, what about making Obsidian Ele more offensive? I'd like him with these abilities:

Earth Elemental - Large Creature. Elemental. Immunity to Earth. Unlimited Retaliations. Magic Proof 50 %.

Magma Elemental - Large Creature. Elemental. Immunity to Earth. Unlimited Retaliations. Magic Proof 50 %. Magma Shield

Obsidian Elemental - Large Creature. Elemental. Immunity to Earth. Unlimited Retaliations. Magic Proof 50 %. Crushing Blow

I also want to say we have enough testers already and they are doing great work. Maybe your next chance to be a tester is BETA 2?

The entire Conflux is alreayd insanely offensive, for that reason I'd stay with our good old enchanted obsidian. We need untra-defensive unit, the same as Treant for Sylvan. But slower

How about giving Magma, Fierce Retaliation and Immune to Slow (or dash) and give Obsidian Enchanted Armor/Magnetism but decrease it's hp.

Also Ive been playing on some maps and I see this Ice Cloud on the terrain, I could try and get a pick of it but it looks perfect for the blizzard animation instead of the haste animation I can't find the Cloud in editor.

The fog has nothing to do with the mod, it appeared earlier. I don't know what causes it though.

To be honest I don't believe such images exist on the Net anymore.  Maybe it'd be a better idea to make a few original hero portraits instead of using nothing but stretched versions of the Heroes III ones.
