L2creep.

I was once in the same boat, frustrated with Inferno.  Once I learned to creep with few losses using demons as cannon fodder, I learned how awesome stupendous amazing they become.

To me they are the most tactical town, present the most challenges in their early creeping, but the reward is that they have some of the greatest abilities in battles against other players.  They do things for which there is no save, as in the imp's mana drain, or the searing fires of the Hell Stallions.

I love Deleb, I hate the long and difficult path they have towards Flaming Arrows.  Personally I think Retribution should be their level 3 attack perk and Flaming Arrows should go in the slot above archery where it's meant to be.

But that's for another day.

As for finding out about the ring of celerity, you're very welcome.  Hope it gives you an advantage in future battles.

Yeah I still suck at creeping. Maybe I should only use grunts only in battles. Still inferno is still better in early creeping than Silvan, but maybe it's just my bad creeping skills.

Also I tried Grok to see much less vulnerable Cerberi (Well their alternate upgrade, but I forgot it's name), but still, they die so easily.

Not for me.Sylvan are great at creeping.I creep with Sprites(spray attack),wind Dancer(agility+good attack),Master Hunters(double shot).I try upgrading 1st,2nd,3rd lvl creatures as soon as possible. And if i can get Druids.....
Reason i think Inferno is not that good at early creeping they don't have any shooters and their 1,2,3 lvl creatures suck.

Were going off-topic but IMO inferno are glass cannons.

Battled against AI on Hourglass (academy), and the battle was almos "one hit = one kill", and that applied to both of us. First turn, titans get one-shotted by fire breathers and so are gargoyles. Next turn Nightamares charge at rakashas, halve them, but same happens to nightmares. Then Djinn one shots firebreathers. M. Gremlin halves imps. Imps suck mana. And so on... Djinn's all attacks were lethal (~200 of them), but they got one-shotted by arch-demons too. I was left with untouched Succubi mistresses and Arch-demons. Too bad leapers pounce on djinns was tragicly retaliated.

On-topic though, I would use two celeritys (Unless it's not Deleb, or I got the ring of machine affinity) + Staff Of the unrepetant to lower enemy's iniative. Since shooters are almost always protected, an early shot in the middle with ballista is really sweet.

If I am not mistaken, the Ring of Celerity works on ALL units (including your opponent's ones), while the ring of speed only affects your creatures, so I would avoid using it unless I fight already slow units (like necropolis, a 10% increase won't do much)

It would be silly if it worked like that and I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed.

Well, I must confess my insights were laced with a bit of theorycrafting.  Unfortunately, the effects of 2 rings of celerity don't stack for the ballista.  It only gains the bonuses from one.  Also, one ring of celerity doesn't stack with the Dragon Talon Crown.  So, it looks like the nondorfen ballista's stuck at an 11 initiative.

Edit:  Bronzephenix brings up a disturbing allegation about the ring of celerity.  I'll have to check into that.

Now if that ring worked like that it would be so stupid. It kinda misses the point of the artifact then.

What allegation? Anyway good to know, that may save me from wasting an artifact slot next time.
