I think the problem of inferno in early creeping is about shooters, the only shooter is tier 4 and is relatively more expensive to get. Gating in early game isn't fast enough to block neutral shooters and even with the ballista I can't avoid casualties.

Which one is the hardest to play? I have completely no idea as I have only went through the campaign.

well you are right about that only one shooter and isnt so damage dealing like other factions has for my option @elvin what you excalty mean?

Fortress, super slow build ups, Shooter is almost below average, and you don't have much change against fast sylvan units such as arcaners or druidies.

Personally I can either have difficulty with all of them, or super easy with all of them.  Never much in between tho.  Either everything goes right or nothing does.  However the hardest for me are Inferno and Dungeon.  Just can not seem to get Dungeon right to save my life.

You can play with each faction if you know how.
But i must say that fortress has the most creatures who are just to weak for their level.

I agree. With every faction, I try to let my shooters do most of the damage to avoid casualties.

And to the guy about necro...I find ghosts pretty weak when they get hit. I prefer zombies because I don't mind when they die. By endgame, my ghost stack is sparse because they take damage like sissies.

Fortress is easy!

I don't get why no one can play fortress it is easy! Buy creatures, get light magic and use runes. Thats about it, use Helmar, Ingvar, Ebba and/or Karli

Lineup:
Tier 1: Doesn't matter, depends on your Off. or Def.
Tier 2: Skirmisher, got a good ability
Tier 3: Blackbear rider is my favourit, the other one is good aswell. (but I am def. therefor I choose BBRider)
Tier 4: This is tough: You got rune of charge? and some light magic? then take berserker his ability is WICKED! The other is still good, but got a different tactic use
Tier 5: This lineup is already def. enough so take Rune Keeper (fireball)
Tier 6: Choose your favourit
Tier 7: Magma Dragon ! Enough said

So get this: Choose Defense, Light or Destrucktion and random stuff.! EASY!

Fortress is not easy.  Creature dwellings at higher tiers are brutal in terms of resource costs.  Their ranged hits like a chick unless of course you upgrade immediately to harpooners, whereupon they hit like an angry chick until you get higher numbers and divine strength.  Their damage output is really low unless you start to focus on Luck.

I do like the mix of offensive and defensive capabilities they offer.  And the White Bear Riders are a pretty damn impressive alternate to the Blackbear Riders.  A Ret Ebba build with Soldier's Luck is just awesome.

At the beginning ghosts are used in stacks of one to serve as part of the shield wall for the skellies.  When that stack of 1 dies another one replaces it, soaking up retals while the zombies and the skellies wail on the bad guys.

Later on, they should be taken care of and by all rights they should be one of your power stacks for a final battle.  Pound for pound they're the best stack to raise after battles and these guys arguably make the best targets for your Vampirism.  Ghosts rock.

defenders : best level 1 (proven by the lvl 1 fight club done on archangel castle)

skirmisher : ok, they aren't that strong

bear : best level 3 (proven by the lvl 3 fight club done on archangel castle)

The lineup affects the faction difficulty little. It's the first tiers, resource costs and hero skills for the most part.

i agree with you.especially with magmas,hard kill,great damage dealer with luck and some runes

of course, but he said "too weak for their level" so I simply did a comparison of the creatures by levels without taking anything else into account.

I second that best stuff vs phoenixes utopias and the like, great in sieges too.

Hardest to play? Try creeping with inferno without balista (or the use of non inferno joiners)

Fortress creatures is strong, especially the dragons, no other creature would dare to go one on one with this creature.

The main problem of fortress is its resource cost of tier 4-7 dwellings, and the runes can't be used early, especially on heroic and standard map, ofc it's different if you play on a rich map.

Inferno without balista is easy and faster than any fortress way of creeping without ingvar.

Without balista, inferno only need vermins, demons, hell hounds, adv gating, mark of damned and hellfire or hellfire and consume corpse, always split your stack, lv 1 spell, and finally, it need right formation and creature placing.
