My Heroes 6 Dream...

These are things I want to see:
1) Alcibiades' magic school design.
2) Commanders, like in WOG.  Except you should have to buy them, you  can only buy one per month and there is a separate spell book for commanders in the mage guild.  One spell per level.
3) Similar racial abilities for each castle, like in heroes 5.
4)The Prison in H4, where if your hero was killed by another player's hero you could get him back by taking over the nearest town of that player.
5) And my Own, completely new! Completely Original Idea!!! - There will be a second upgrade for each creature!  However, they cannot be bought from a neither a castle nor a dwelling.  Each creature stack gains XP, and when they hit a certain experience you can choose if you want them to upgrade!!  These upgrades could be as good as the next level creature.  The stack's xp is the average xp of each individual creature in the stack, so if you add a new stack of new units the xp of the stack will go down depending on how many you add.  I'm not sure if I want to allow creatures to have their first upgrade be from xp.  Anyway that is my amazing idea.  I will add the names of the super upgrades once I have time.

Edit:  I made changes to Oasis and Sylvan. I liked my demi-god idea but it would be silly to name a creature a divine here when heroes are what control these creatures.  Also I couldn't think of how a Hippocampus would look or move with the top half horse and bottom fish.  I have added the what I would change bolded.  Since I havnt received feedback from my original idea I will keep it up until I see what people think.

Edit: I got rid of trebuche cus with balistas as seige weapons it rly didnt make sense. Although comical and think jester is a nice addition.  I also think they shuld throw bombs as a short range attack.  but only as a short range. they cant throw long range with less damage like archers.

Edit: I added my Grove Castle.  This is another castle that I am very skeptical about.  I kinda took the grove idea from the heroes 3.5 forums and made it my own. It's a bit more evil since it's kinda like the evil sylvan.  It's a mix between night elvish creatures with Philippine mythology I think which are creatures that live in woods that are evil and eat babies and stuff.  Any tell me what you think.  There might be a better name than grove for it too since I made it pretty evil

Lexxan:  Thanks alot for your ideas.  Royal Mummy definitely sounds alot   better and your options for the upgraded Sphinx are all really nice I just have to pick one now.

DarkShadow:  My only problem with that is that I already used scorpicores  in the Dungeon castle and I was kinda visioning the scorpion kings looking like a man with a scorpion body like this:

1)sounds good, necropolis ranged power returns

2)Maybe rot zombies or ghouls?

3)Incorporeality, right?That has become almost a trademark to necropolis, also are you going to call upg to "wrath"?Or did you mean wraith?

5)I don't know about using that archlich for more, maybe the demilich?

6)Dread knight sounds ok, not good or bad, blood knight would sound a bit better (I assume Death knight is going to be a hero class)

7)Sorry, but this one isn't on the fav list (mainly cause the refference to middle earth, , maybe the old bone and ghost dragons?

8)I think there can only be one Grim reaper, maybe Doom Reaper?

6) Thats a tough one, however i think dread sounds a bit better imo. very close tho, either one would do.
7) I know exactly what  you mean.  I've been searching for an alternative  name to something similar to a Nazgul.  I just thought that they would fit perfectly and the game doesn't need that many dragons where there doesnt need to be.  I suppose if there aren't any other good alternatives the bone dragon and spectral/ghost dragons could return.
8) I was thinking the same thing, I like Doom reaper as an alternative, however in Inferno, there really is only supposed to be one one devil.

MattII: Im not sure why you posted that, but I like your idea of a castle named Oasis.  Could be where the Nagas live along with amphibious creatures and maybe even aquatic ones.  I suppose It might be like a fortress but on the good side.  Kinda like inbetween fortress and tower.  If I can think of creatures I might just add that on the my dream post.

Darn, sorry, Oasis was actually meant to be a replacement for Temple (given it's egyptian styled, it seemed appropriate).

Gah, no, do away with the Oasis town (see above post) as soon as possible, it's even worse than the Conflux was in H3, it really doesn't fit.

oh yea.... AND

This looks really good, just keep in mind that this game was originally designed for hotseat play. The castles should not be designed for campaign relevence, but rather multiplayer balance. I've played this series since its inception and honestly, until you have played heroes hot-seat, you are missing out on this game. The internet play in the series has always been o.k., not great. The campaigns terrible. What has always stood out is the ability to play hotseat which makes the game so fun. The game is one of very few computer games that can be played with many on one computer.

Yeaa...... Uh wth happend to my thread!! Get this buffoon outta here!

sigh, well I don't care about who framed roger rabbit or ur other post... but u do make a good point i think everyone should read.  The game's should not come from the storyline but instead from the creativity, strategy and balance. I don't even remember there even being a campaign to first one, but it was so long ago i don't remember nor care.  I think thats its so sad that half of the hero's fans would rather play heroes 3, a game that came out almost 10 years ago, rather than the newest one.  And I wont stand to c another heroes game fail to attract heroes 3 fans because the need to fit the story line restricts there to be any creativity.  I think they just made a campaign for lovers of the game to play when their friends are away.  I personally play heroes 5 because I believe that the gameplay and unique abilites just beats over heroes 3's castles and creatures.

What I'd like to see in heroes six would be the introduction of weapons seen in possibly the 15th or 16th century. I'd like to see a cannon as a possible seige weapon. Not muskeets necessarily, but definately cannons. Now I know I will get flamed for this, but in most games, people love the ornate armor and heavy chain look. True to history, by the time such heavy armor that could stop arrows was perfected, cannons were being used, (i.e. Malta..etc). Anyway, I'm not saying turn marksmen into riflemen, but I think it would be cool if you could get a cannon.

Triumph: Hmm ill admit Skavens are really cool, eh.... well I don't i guess i'll need more opinions about that. and kolbold, I know there cool too but I think the answer is no.

Warlore: Thanks for the support! .  And i didn't know what a Nuckelavee was until I looked it up.  It sounds like a really cool creature but I don't think that It fits in the Necropolis, but i think itll fit very well in dungeon.  What I could do is put them instead of manticores and move manticores to temple instead of the scorpion king.  I know this would make Darkshadow happy lol.

I would like some help in thinking about the hero names.  I've seen that most ppl prefer the heroes 3 version of 2 different heroes per castle.  I'd use the same names as for the castles that existed in heroes 3.  Also I'm not what I'd like for them to look like.  If the unicorn did go to oasis then I suppose they could ride them and I thought it would be cool for sylvan to be an elf on a white tiger.  I need something for dungeon, since the hero in heroes 5 is riding something that belongs in fortress.  The fortress hero could look like dungeons hero in 5 or maybe it could look like a Grim Raider.  Options for oasis are unicorn, or giraffe,(lol), camel.  Temple could be a camel, a nomad, a giant scarab or a chariot.  Here are the names I have so far.

I take it you didn't see my post then, I 'intended' to suggest that Oasis would be a good replacement for Temple, which is, to my mind, a bit generic. I also don't like the Oasis town in any case, it seems forced and wrong.

Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore ur post but i did read that you meant for oasis to me a replacement for temple.  Im sorry u feel that way but i know exactly what you mean by oasis being forced.  It could look that way but I like more castles (unless they consist of 6 dwarves and a fire lizard) and the way I would envision the castle I think it would fit well.  Temple is a new idea that heroes never had but it's very hard to think of other castles since there is a limited pool of creatures u can choose from and a limited amount of themes.  Think of it this way, if you had all the castles in a circle like this, if you put all the castles in a diagram where each castle was connected in someway. like they did in heroes 4 with life, order, nature, chaos ect. Well Fortress would be in between Sylvan and Dungeon, well Oasis would be in between Sylvan and tower.  Temple would be a bit complicated, I would either put it in between Temple and Death, or it would be in the middle of the circle by itself like stronghold is. When it comes to good or bad, however I think Temple  would be neutral, Oasis would be good.  My Bastion Castle I would be neutral as well I suppose.
