Heroes 6 - The heros and racial skills

I like the racial skill ideas back from h5, but not the 1-hero-per-town thing. If the game is called might and magic, then there should be a might and magic hero in each town.

Basiclly, heres is my ideas.

1: Racial Skill

Each race now have 3 racial skills, might, magic and neutrol, might hero always start the might racial skill and magic hero always start with magic skill. The neutrol skill is just an odenary skill b.( Like shout in TOE) all racial skills can be possessed by both might and magic hero.

2: Supporting racial skill
New stuff. Everytimes when a hero get 2 lv up, they have an additional choice of supporting skill. The maxium supporting skill that can be possess is 14, 7 for racial. amd 7 for monsters. (As each supporting skill for every tier of monster in town).

- Racial support
Might hero can only learn might racial supporting skill, and magic hero can only learn magic racial. There is 7 racials support skill for might racial skill, and the same for magic.

- Monster support
Both might and magic hero can learn these, there is total 14 monster support in every race, 2 supports for every tier, however, a hero can only learn 1 support for each creature. (So you can't have 2 support a creature of the same tier)

Heres some example
Infernal

Might Hero - Overlord (demon lord sounds dum)
Skill - Gating (same as before)

Gating now have normal skill support, such as swift gating etc.

Might Skill Support - Can only be possess by Overlord

Devil Gater - Overlord now can gate Devil and their upgrade

Firiy Gates - Everytime a monster is gated, all surrounding enermy reciver some damage

Gating command - Hero learn special ability in combat, able to select 1 gate on the battle field and gate it instantly.

Double Gate - able to gate a gated creature again, but this time only 10% as their number. The gating creature then skip its next turn.

Ready to battle - a gated creature now have 40% chance to move immeditly after gate.

Magic Hero - same as in h3, forgot name
Magic Skill - Marking
The hero able to select an enemy on the battle field to mark, the marked creature recive certain penality

Basic - mark 1 creature maxium, creature recive some damage every turn
Advanced - Mark 2, recive more damage
Expert - Mark 3....

Skill (not magic support, might hero can learn these as well)
Sorrowful Mark, marked creature lower luck, same as marking level
Mark of chaos, marked creature lower morale, recive confusion spell effect. (Basicl lv)
Demon's Vision Mark - marked creature lower defence
Burnning mark - creature recive more damage.

Magic support lv. (only for magic hero)
Big Mark - mark all creature in a 3 x 3 tiers, but not exceed marking limit

Dark Mark- mark cast a dark magic selected unit. (like immbuled arrow)

Fire Mark - cast a fire magic, same as above

Marking spirit - when a marked creature dies, the marking move on to another enemy creature on the battlefield and carry on the effect.

...............

Monster support

(the support either help the creature of the whole tier, or individual upgrade)

Tier 1 - Leech Master
Mana destroyer, Mana leech and mana siphon now leech 30% more mana.

OR

Fast Gater
After creature gate, the creature's turn always come before enemy heroes.
(this is a support that support all creature in a tier.)

Another example, benefit only 1 upgrade.

Tier 3 - Demon Rager
Cerebus now have certain chance to cause fear attack, when fear worked, it increase the maxium damage of cerebus by 2, but also decrease its minium damage by 1.

OR

Hell Breather
After firehound attack, the attacked creatures lower its defence by 40% for 1 turn, also recive some burn damage when it comes its turn

No thanks, one racial skill per town is plenty for me.

I disagree with MattII.

Speaking only about the concept, I have to say that I think the idea of one Might racial skill and one Magic racial skill is a good idea. The neutral one is okay, but really necessary. I would love to get back to the separation of might and magic heroes, what will require might and magic racial skills.
On the other hand, supporting skills would be quite boring, in my opinion. There shouldn't be a skill for every creature's strengthening - it will take the place of the creative skills, and I really wouldn't want that...

I don't like racial skills but i like seperation of might heroes and magic heroes.
I hope the skill system will return to what it was in HOMM3 or at least HOMM4.
IF we are going to keep the racial skill it would still be good to separate might and magic

I actully like this idea.

but I was wondering what about skills like: Attack, defense, logictics, leadership and so on - are they still in.

Because with a racial skill of 7(?) (both magic and might=14) and some monster skills = 14 you already got 28 skills. And then it doesn't seem like you would need the basic skills (those I mentioned in the start).

And if they are still in, would you suggest that when you gain a lvl you get to choose a normal skill leadership fx and then also one of these racial skills?

Obviously, a key feature of implementing dual hero classes (might class and magic class) will be a separate racial skill for each class, so I heartily support that part. About the "neutral" (transitional) skill ... I think it will be too much of a pain to develop compared to the gain of it. Coming up with good racial skills is not easy.

This was my main argument against dual hero skills in the first place.
