I see that FPSs are popular on consoles, I just can't stand to play them. IMO, Halo on PC is much better than Halo on Xbox. FPSs, TBSs, and RTSs should stay on the PC. Fighting games and platformers should stay on consoles. Everything else works well on both.

In my opinion, the games that do require a mouse and keyboard are games like Hitman, Deus Ex (old game ) and countless others just like that.
Well actually a lot of games require a mouse and a keyboard, but people play on consoles because they don't really care if they are 'noobs' at playing, the difficulty is easy anyway (or the opponent uses a stick as well).

It's because Consoles were made for gaming in mind. Forget the other peripherals such as DVD playback and the like, Games are what Consoles were made for. Games like Doom3, Black, Halo Series etc all play very well under the Console versions.
What does 'play well' mean? That people like it? Do they even care if they aim bad or not? Nope.. they just play the game, does that mean that they play it 'well' and better than on PC? Nope.

But do you see how well FPS games operate under the console versions? You just need to give them time and get used to the controls and you are all set. I have no problems playing FPS games both on the computer and on the consoles. Both are different in their own way and they are generally always fun no matter what you play it on.
The reason they 'play well' is not because they play well. What you have stated is just popularity, but that does not mean it plays well.

Really, I'm tired of games being so easy because they've been ported from the console where you aim like a slug. (because you don't have a mouse).

By play well, I don't mean popularity. I mean that they operate well. They are good to play.

I remember playing Red Alert on playstation. That was quite an experience Scrolling the map or trying to select multiple units at the same time as the opponent makes it's full-scale attacks. Yeah you don't need a mouse that stick is amazing

Quake 2 on playstation was acceptable but like Time Splitters on Ps2 it was nothing like playing fps on pc. Crosshair is always too slow and when you snipe it jumps weirdly over some pixels, dunno if it's because of the low resolution or what the heck.

On another hand i found it good purchase to buy a controller on my Pc, now there is no genres i couldn't play whit it.

how is the crosshair too slow on TS? I have no problems, except a bit with snipers because they are indeed very hard to use.

Quake 4...

This is one of my favourite games. Quake 4 has a very nice graphics design and a very interesting story.

For example, altough you start with that crappy plasma pistol, soon you meet the rifle. You can fight Rambo style or become a sniper.

By the way, fighting along with your teammates is enjoyable. The enemies are some kind of cyborgs which have the purpose to invade the Earth and use humans like batteries.

One of the shocking parts of the game is the "treatment" for human prisioners in the medical center.

After that, that creepy moment when your team is looking for the nexus and you meet the iron maidens. Oh, man!

Really nice game.
