Some newbie's experience and queries with Single scenario at 200%
Hi everyone.
Boy I'm glad to know the existence of this forum -- It certainly help as I replay Heroes3.
I've some things to share and ask at the same time, with regards to playing single scenario at 200%.
1. "Best score"
So far, my best score obtained is 496 (it's not a tailored map of course). I've also tried my best not to "cheat", the only "cheat" I use was restarting the game until I'm satisfied with the initial setup.
Did anyone notice the following?
A. Sometimes the tavern actually tells you approximately where the grail lies. This is extremely useful for small maps, and gives you a great advantage -- more than enough compensations for playing against the computer at 200%
B. The ultimate for conflux -- Aurora Borealias, is THE BOMB. I've been using Grindan and upon the construction of the grail, complete the game within few weeks. All spells even with a level 1 mage guild simply rocks. (Not forgetting the magic university that makes you the MAGIC KING!) Town Portal + Dimension door throughout the rest of the game.
I'm wondering if there's any other better tactics 2 achieve better scores using the same / different towns. [Conflux + Aurora Boralias (that means maps with grail) + Small Map ]
C. Are all single scenarios possible at 200%
Some maps like Jihad and Graduation(Or is it graduating?) exercise -- I've absolutely no idea how to even survive long enough to make it a game, even though I've tried many many things. I'll be killed if I rush, and even if I "grow" the AIs just grow bigger...
Hope to hear other's share their single scenario experiences at 200%, as well as other pointers that may achieve scores as close to 500 as possible [I think 500 is only possible through cheating? No?]
BTW, Good to go with Conflux MUST be the fastest game I've ever completed ^Ô^ Too bad 50 points are 'lost' due to the fact that the grail was pre-built and not built during the game.

I think the most important thing playing 200% is which heroe do you use at beginning... this will define if you will be able to clean or not the guards, gain resources and level up without needing to have a medium army, Im sure here are experts on the subject that can help you better on this, but my advice is use ciele is the best heroe from conflux on this matter...
