Dragon Age
A new fantasy RPG by Bioware, Dragon Age, is scheduled to be released in 2009. It's somewhat like Baldur's Gate, but 3D and it's not based on D&D system or world

Love the graphics and gameplay. Good that it has a hotbar though that was to be expected, also sweet finishing move on that monster  I'll be definitely be getting this, I have been awaiting its release for some time now and the trailers don't disappoint

I agree for the graphics.
But the game is wooden... and it looks like the next WoW clone...

I think it sucks -.-
Interface looks a bit like WoW and the game looks dead for some reason. Also those voice actors suck. I would seriously turn off the sound if they screamed with annoying voices 99% of the game.
I think i will stick to Fable 2.

The game seems ok... it looks like Gothic a bit...and i'm an RPG freak so i'll play it for sure

@xerox: What do you mean "it looks dead"? Is it because it is "mature" and you seem to like cartoonish games like WoW?

Yeah I love Gothic myself so if it's gonna be similar I'll play it (if it isn't too bloated that is and eats 50 GB )

When I mean it looks dead then I mean that the entire game looks very slow, lifeless and rigid. Its hard to explain because I dont know if the word for it exists in english.
And if WoW didnt have cartoony graphics then it would not be a Warcraft game anymore. Warcraft looks like that.
And just because I dont like the game im going to flame it now.
"ancient dragons slumbering in the depths of the earth" = Black Dragons in WoW. Black Dragons are led by Neltharion (also called Deathwing by lesser races) who is the Aspect of Earth.
Blight = Scourge! This is the most obvious refrence!!!
The Blight is used by the evil undead and created by Liches (who are Mages!!!). It is used to corrupt enemies and everything it touches but empowers the Scourge.
Okey I failed to find copies on the official site but I still dont like the game

What's funny for me is that the Warcraft cinematics are not cartoonish at all. So, how's the real Warcraft world? Cartoonish or not?

That's what I dislike about a good part of people that play wow. They see something and they go OMGWTFBBQ they ripped off warcraft!! Seriously it's not as if some things are cliche and have been used in more games than I can remember..

No if WoW would exist it would of course look real but ALL Warcraft and Starcraft games have looked cartoonish.
So without that cartoonish looks it is not War/Starcraft.

Huh? Starcraft tries to look real -- the only fault is that the graphics are bad. But even in Starcraft the trees look better than cartoonish-style (Warcraft 3 trees)
So no, that only applies to warcraft...

hemph,this seems anything but cartoonish. also note that starcraft sucks much more then warcraft.
the graphic is not that much supriror imo,but very simmiler to meny mmorpg such as silkroad or ryl.

If I hated RPGs, then why did I join the RPG contest?
Fable and Obvilion is some one the best games in the world so I hardly say that ALL RPGs sucks.
Starcraft is cartoonish. Maybe a little bit less then Warcraft but seriously:

@Xerox: Oh...Starcraft II looks cartoonish a bit, but it also looks awesome!

True, some people claim that Richard, as a matter of fact, the entire lfg comic, was a ripoff from WoW
As to this... I don't know... It's like yahtzee trying to review Heavenly sword(s)... How are you supposed to know whether it's any good, judging from a three minute trailer? I do know that the game will give the entire console some inhumane treatment. Like the game is some fascist dictator, whipping it every time my character moves one square inch on screen. Anyways, it looks alright...
