Just finished the werewolf arc and became an Arcane Warrior to test how it would actually work out.
first mode to learn - Combat Magic
uses my Magic instead of Strenght when wearing armor, so with my current Magic of 40+ I can wear pretty much every plate armor I find (currently Juggernaught full set plate, it has nice magic resistances on it)
uses my Spellpower to calculate attack damage - I need to get a proper sword first but with just the dagger I had, my damage was pretty high-end.
I can still cast every AoE I have but alas my fatigue rating is quite high now hence I won't be able to cast as much. Not that I will need it, I can hold my own in melee nicely, and it's kinda important because the more AoE I use the faster I go down because everyone just keeps attacking me
the only real drawback is that my hp is very low, although compensated by plate armor. A Lesser health pot recovers me to full hp
Earthquake+Grease+Fireball(Grease ignites )+Inferno and finish off the rest in melee.
A true Armageddon Knight.

The dialogues Oghren starts with Wynne are the best haha, it's so nasty.

Well that was a really fun game. I'd give it an 8.5/10. The plot and character development was great, but the huge middle section became somewhat grinding; by the time I started gathering my 4th ally I really wanted to just move on.
The graphics weren't as good as they could be, but I'm not overly picky about that. The audio, which I care about more than most people, was very nice, and the game mechanics were straightforward but still give you plenty of options. A little more description for the abilities math-wise would have been nice, and the supremacy of mages was kind of lame, though with a single-player game balance isn't such a big deal.

You can play an ogre and get shot with a harpoon ballista on sight as you're going into town.

The universe is going to explode, because I immediately started a 2nd game once I finished the first time. I don't know if I'm going to play through though. I wanted to taste a mage with my primary char.

I got bored of my nuke build so I went to search for a way to reset my skills to try a different approach and found this mod. Installation is fast and simple and, well, it resets stats, skills and abilities of any chosen party member. What more do you need?

Ok, played it a bit, and I'm impressed. I'm not far in the game, maybe around 10% completion.
The difficulty level is ok. Once you know what to do, you can win battles with relative ease, while not knowing will get your butt handed to you every battle. I like it. Here comes the skill, knowledge and planning part, and that's how it should be. The balance isn't perfect, because mages are indeed a bit TOO versatile (as powergamer, I will make a team of 3 mages and 1 other character soon  ), but it's around acceptable level.
Playing it at hard atm, but Nightmare will follow. I play only hardest difficulties
I really like the party banters and romance, so far. Finally the option to kiss whenever you snowing want. I always hated this about crpg romances: there was one culminative point (sex) and nothing more. You couldn't even get a snowing kiss. Of course DA romances can't be as good as Imoen romance, but that was a mod, after all... dedicated solely for romance. And this is a whole game, with romance being only a part of it. So far though, I like it. The banters between Alistair and Morrigan were pretty funny, too.
The only thing in this game that drives me NUTS is the camera, it's horrible. Why can't it be the accepted "normal" 3d camera? Like in NWN2, Dungeon Siege, that sort of thing? It proved ok for years. In this game, however, they decided to bring some ridiculous restrictions and it feels utterly confusing in tight places. Seriously, WHY NOT THE GOOD OLD 3D CAMERA? Was there any reason to include this piece of ****?

I think the camera is fantastic. I noticed it instantly because it was so much better than Storm of Zehir. I'm not sure what you mean by the 3D camera. Do you mean how you can't move around when you're zoomed out? Because that was a bit irritating.

This way gives you a much faster way of switching views. As you know, the more options you have, the longer it will take. How ever I agree. I say; either have a "free" 3d view or a locked view. No "half-way-there" options.

I quite liked the dungeon siege camera, was suited to the non-stop action. Nwn2 was terrible in this respect, I suppose I'm satisfied with DA but I'd prefer some freedom.
