So I give my Messenger ID, GMT time and Heroes game and just wait...?

The Messenger is just to chat with others about games. You can give your ID so that others can add you to their contacts, or you can ask them to give you their IDs so that you can add them. This won't give you a game, only the capability to chat.
Did you install Hamachi? A link is in the first post (notice the version!)
If you have Hamachi you can create a Virtual Network with it for Heroes 5 where people will join (you have to give the name of your network and password to others, ofc - let's say, in a MSN conversation or with any other means)
You can also join other Hamachi Networks if you know their name and password (people may give you these)
After you are in a hamachi network with someone who wants to play Heroes 5, you can go to Local Area Network in the game, host a map and the other player will be able to see the game (because of Hamachi)
You don't even need MSN, but it's handy. You only need Hamachi.

Now you'll have to arrange a match with someone when you (both) can. Then, most probably you'll be given a Hamachi Network and Password for that network to join. Once you are both in a network you will be able to see each other in the Local Area Network menu of the game (if one of you hosts a game)
You can also create one yourself, and then give the network name and password to the other player so that (s)he can join.
Also, DON'T CLOSE HAMACHI WHEN A GAME IS RUNNING!

Alright I think I've updated everything. Sounds like there are lots of people in close times and people are meeting up for games.
Asheera I'd like to play again sometime...but I will not be around until the end of September.

I played a duel versus Asheera Yesterday. She was Lethos, and I Helmar. I knew I would lose as soon as she puppeted my Lava Dragons; which I did in the end.

I dunno. I think Lethos has Sandro's Cloak or the Pendant of Mastery. Otherwise You can't Puppet Lava Dragons. And even my Divine Vengeance and Implosion couldn't stop it, as I couldn't destroy her Blackies.
