I haven't heard that one yet. One of my favourites is This Boy's in Love. I find it to be a cool song.

Okay KD, i have seen that you have repeatedly stated that you dislike Techno and Rap music. Now, you have said that Electronic music is okay. I decided to take a look at your youtube profile and what do I see? You saying that you dislike electronic music.

You have also told me that you think Techno doesn't require any skill and that Rap is more like a talk-show then anything else. I have asked you before how much you listened to Techno and you said "a lot". Now if you dislike Techno so much, why would you have listened to a lot of it. If you hear something and you dislike it, then why would you keep listening to a lot more of it? That really doesn't make any sense.

And about Rap being more like a talk show then anything else, that is true for SOME rap groups, but not all. Take for example, Bone Thugz N Harmony. They sing in a harmonising way. They can sing quite well and at the same time rap quite well. There are numerous other bands out there that can rap while singing in a proper way. So before you start saying things about other genres, you should at least have a proper knowledge about them. You say that Techno doesn't require any skill. I find that to be untrue. You need at least some skill to be able to make an average song. If Techno didn't require any skill then there would be thousands maybe even millions of people who would be out there making Techno music, all because there isn't any skill involved. Do you know how the music business would be if it was like that?  You need some skill involved to make good music.

Do you think that if I just made a song without any prior knowledge to music, that people would love it and I would be making millions of dollars? It doesn't work that way, Drako. You need skill to get into the music business, in most cases any way. Peter Baumann, Ex Band member of Tangerine Dream, auditioned to be a part of the band. He had absolutely no skill in regards to music. He made a 20+ minute improvisation. He got accepted into the band and many people say that the Baumann, Froese and Franke trio was the most stable TD lineup. However, you must take into account that Electronic music was only just starting to get somewhat popular and that most of the synthesizer's were being developed around then.

However, TD really didn't make any songs during that period that would be able to be played on Radio these days (there were radio broadcasts back then of some of their concerts). Most of their songs were over 10 minutes, many going past 20 minutes. They were all mostly improvised as well. Sequencers were being developed at around that stage, and Peter Baumann quickly adapted to them and he became known as the man responsible for many of the TD sequencer sounds in their 1970's songs. He didn't need much skill because the technology was really starting to be unleashed and be able to be used.

My point is, that most Techno musicians these days needed skill to be able to release their songs. Techno has been around for a long time. Give me some pure evidence on why there is no skill involved (I doubt you can give me any).

A lot of truth in your speech Will. In every type of music you need skills. I personaly prefer simphony metal(at the moment only listening to Apocalyptica) but i dont spit on other types of metal too. IMO,electronic music is ok,there are a lot of ways to merge it with other genres. Rap, was once poetry of the streets. Now its just about showing off your stuff( e.g. cars, girls etc). But the biggest nonsense is those musical reality shows like Fabrika Zviozd(Russia) or Kelias į ˇvaig˛des(Lithuania) where they bake idiots(so called stars) who sing translated songs of other bands and artists.(dont know abot other RL shows, but Lt ones where only plagiarism). IMO its just smarter to try and reach your dream by yourself instead of going to some stupid musical rl show. Even Metallica started out as a garage band.

I don't think you requre skill to make a washing-machine fequency, which's drumm loop is repeating in all 3 seconds, the bass line is the same pitched sound whch reminds me to fart. And the "solo"... bah... it sounds like a trumphet-imitation which tend to be unreal.

So, now you are going to tell me that Techno requres skill? Maybe Non-Hungarian techno requres skill, but Hugnarian Techno is a big ****.

Well, I really dislike people who make all the music elektronic, it makes the music feel so ... Fake and non-real. Also if you make all your music elektronic you don't have to be musical, but just able to put notes on a screen and make a bad drum rythem.

Agreed.

Are you actually being serious here or are you just joking?
Do you expect the drum loop to be different every single second and never be repeated again in the same song? How many techno songs have you listened to to actually come up with the conclusion that the bass line is the same pitched as a fart? Do you expect the pitch to be extremely high? In my opinion, High sounding basses don't necessarily sound good. Most basses are deep sounding, so what else can you expect? And about the Trumpet imitation comment, well I'm not even going to bother saying anything more about it.

Thanks for proving that you didn't read probably the last 2 pages of this thread. that is what I have been saying most of the time if you bothered to read. Techno requires skill. Get it now? I really don't get you dude. You seriously need to think before you type.
