I still believe H3 had the best image for wyverns, they really looked both great and natural. H5 Wyverns look like a piece of snow, really.

Personally I never really understood the concept of metallic dragons whatsoever... As well the difference between chromatic and elemental..

To me, Red Dragon = Fire Dragons, Blue Dragon = Water Dragon, etc. Different names for the same creature. But that's just me.

But that doesn't mean that Wyrms are 100% confirmed to exist there without a doubt in the world, just like there's not necessarily any Berserk Combat Hamsters

Oh and you should also read that particular week's description, it says:

"A week when the weekly Wyrm production used to double, before they were totally exterminated"

At least Wyverns are a generally recognized Fantasy Concept creature, unlike Berserk Hamster Ninjas Which actually does sound like an awesome concept, almost as cool as my Insane Samurai Suicide Killer Snail concept.

Wyrms are pretty known in fantasy worlds as well.

Actually, Blue Dragons fire bolts of Lightning, so rather, they are Air Dragons.

If we were to go more specific, I think my wish for Dragons (according to factions) would be something like:

Sylvan > Children Of Sylanna (Earth Dragon) > Chrystallic Dragons (Emerald Dragon > Sapphire Dragon / Aquamarine Dragon)
Fortress > Children Of Arkath (Fire Dragon) > Elemental (Fire) Dragons (Fire Dragon > Lava Dragon / Magma Dragon)
*unknown* > Children Of Sylath (Air Dragon) > Metallic Dragons (Silver Dragon > Mithrill Dragon / Gold Dragon)

Problem is, that this leaves us with tying Chromatic Dragons (Dungeon) to Shalassa (Water Dragon) which doesn't make too much sense! Obviously, tying Chromatic Dragons to Malassa (Shadow Dragon) makes much more sense, except that this disrupts the connection Malassa > Faceless - unless Malassa has BOTH Faceless AND Chromatic Dragons. Obviously a possibility, but then we would need to find a Dragon Race for Elrath also.

Anyway, continuing the scheme we then get:

Sylvan > Children Of Sylanna (Earth Dragon) > Chrystallic Dragons (Emerald Dragon > Sapphire Dragon / Aquamarine Dragon)
Fortress > Children Of Arkath (Fire Dragon) > Elemental (Fire) Dragons (Fire Dragon > Lava Dragon / Magma Dragon)
*unknown* > Children Of Sylath (Air Dragon) > Metallic Dragons (Silver Dragon > Mithrill Dragon / Gold Dragon)
Naga > Children Of Shalassa (Water Dragon) > Aquatic Dragons aka. Wyrms
Dungeon > Children Of Malassa (Shadow Dragon) > Chromatic Dragons (Grey Dragon > Red Dragon / Black Dragon)
*unknown* > Children Of Elrath (Light Dragon) > ? Dragons

Any suggestions for an appropriate kind of Dragons to tie to Elrath?

ALCIBIADES' GIANT ANALYSIS

Interesting anaylsis alc, but IMO the Elrathian Dragon should have something to do with the Dragon Knights. Names could be meteorological and, as the Dragon Knight only act during lunae Eclypses, one of the could be named Eclyptic Dragon. Other names could be: Lunar, Solar, Dawn, Dusk, Cloud, Sky, Celestial, Astral or Light Dragon (Elrathian Dragon sounds quie cool too IMHO)

As for the Air Dragon: Free cities of the East could be it, or an Avian Race. Names could have something to do with the Sky: Wind, Cloud, Thunder, Lightning, Storm, Spheric, Planar, Electric, Thundercloud or Thunderbolt Dragon

Names are fine, but it doesn't actually tell is what kind of Dragon we're talking about, eh? How it looks, what it's properties are, etc.

Well yes, and Malassa uses Faceless, but none-the-less, there are the Shadow Dragons and kin, who are obviously connected to Malassa.

Child of Light is a must in that case. The Eclyptic Dragon could have the ability "Eclypse" (Intiative and Attack increasements for Allies, all Enemies are affected by Basic Confusion (including Undead and Constructs). This ability blends in well with the Dragon Knight's History and with the effects of a Total (lunar) Eclypse (enemies fail to see eachother i the dark ). Furthermore: Fire Breath could be replaced by "Thunderstrike" or "Lightning Breath" (could be for the Air Dragon as well). Solar Dragons could have the Radiance ability: Their scales shine in the light fo the sun, and when they do, they cover the creature in an Aura of light. Enemy Shots have 35% chance to miss. They could also get a 20% initiative bonus at the start of Combat (Swift Mind and Wyngaal-like, almost certain to act first)(Ability is called Dawn strike). They could gain immunities to Dark Magic Spells and/or Divine Vengeance. And so it continues

Appearences? I imagine thse dragons as slender with a long body, tail and neck, a large head, with four Alicorn-like horns (Alicorns are Unicorn Hornes) on them. Large, Oval shaped wings, which they could used to block the Sunlight (Eclypse ability). Colour vary from Sandy through Yellow to Diamond White.

Statts? High Defence and Speed (even for Dragons), somewhat low Attack, above Average Intiative and Damage. Overall a very powerfull creature to deal with. (Comparable to the H5 Titan's Strength)

I don't know what kind of Dragon you would call this. I leave that up to your imagination

I think that's because dragons are so integral to the fantasy genre.

Also, for Chinese Dragons, what about naming them based on their element?  Water Dragon would work fine, or Rain Dragon, Thunder Dragon (omg, I love that name now) Storm Dragon, etc.

um, Diplodoci?  the dinosaurs?

Alc: The faceless were a race that worships Malassa, like angels and Elrath.

I would like to see plenty of dragons as long as they are different.  I don't want to see every color on the spectrum as a dragon and and every element on the table of elements as a dragon.

The Only dragons I would like to see in castles, however, would be the green dragon and the Red/Black Dragon(This means no more bone dragon).  The wyvren is still great, and I agree with Moonlith in that the depiction of the wyvren in H3 was the best.  I would Also like to see some sort of Lindwurm/Frost Wyrm (not sure if you would consider them as part of the dragon family) in a castle with snowy terrain, like the dwarves should have.  But that is it.

That's about what I want. and Daystar: I was summing up Saurians (I forgot that term), like Dragons and stuff. Diplodocus ~ Monster of Loch Ness-like stuff.

Option 7. Before you make judgements about dragons, first classify what a 'dragon' is.

I like the concept of the bone dragon, because it isn't really a dragon and there isn't much else you could put there.  Nothing else would be as cool.

No people are wrong.

Angels are not Elraths dragons. The Angels were the race that choosed Elrath, like the Wood Elves choosed Sylvanna.
Same thing with the Faceless.
The Angels are just more powerful and for some reason very loved by Elrath and empowered.

Perhaps because they never stopped worshiping him?  Or since there are so few Angels perhaps it is easier for him to spread out his power.  Eg, if there were only 200 or so elves Sylanna would give them a LOT more power than they have now.
