I've always found them fascinating, though I wasn't the type to enjoy fighting, knowing ways how to fight can never be bad for you, but I am aware they're really not quite like in those movies unless you're really an expert.
Hardly anything related to action is really like presented in action films though

Interesting thread, as for myself I have no tried anything special Martial Arts, But I think some Martial Arts is looks a very cool and beautiful, I can look at it for a long time . . .
And I think the Martial Arts is need to educated in the schools. At least some basis. As mor myself I knew a many guys that studied a Martial Arts for a long time, and of course the Army stuff too.. They all was tough and tall, and heavy, I do not know a proper word in English.

I have saw the "Mortal Combat" movie, I wanted to see it after I have played in the related PC-game stuff.
One of my favorite character is Liu Kang .

When it comes to aikido, I always wondered to what extent that "using your opponents force against him" stuff works. I mean, can a really skinny, small guy use a heavy-weight wrestler type's force against him or does it only work when the physical power of the opponents are at least relatively close?

Actually I am noob, in the MK, and I do not like to play it too much, because of the gore level
I like a Vritua Fighter Instead

Size does matter but you can see small guys take down big ones. What I'd say matters most is how commited the opponent's attacks are and how skilled you are at dodging. But a common issue I hear is that many aikido dojos overlook crucial training like defending against realistic attacks, much less attacks by experienced strikers. A lot depends on your personal training and the quality of the dojo and the instructors there.
