That was the same situation with my girlfriend and myself. She lived in England while I live in Australia. We were camming with each other on Skype for about 9 or 10 months before we met in person. She's here for 3 months now. I'm so happy.

That would be my/our situation. Right now, I'm not a free spirit. I have outstanding college and family obligations that I can't neglect for love's sake. This seven year waiting game has just been extended.

Haha trust me Doomforgey, you will be fine.
Usually love comes in the times, where you just dont even think about it.
I guess my advice would be to go out & do things, then being on the computer alot.
Go do what you like.
Go with friends & you will meet women as well with similarities.
I am always fascinated with different cultures & the people out there.
I know many countries have their thoughts about America, but that is ok. Plus she got the cute British accent
I understand alot more then I am credited for.
your only 23, your still young.
Just got to be patient. Like you said, yall had nothing much in common.
Believe it or not, that is usually a blessing.
Usually in the years to come there will be many arguments & you will feel trapped & it gets really hard.
Sometimes in life you just got the say F it, & do your own thing.
If you love someone, it can be hard to let them go. Even for the toughest guys like mvass
Yea basically my advice would be to concentrate on your college, or work etc.
Do the things you love. There are women out there who is single & just right for you.

In answer to the original question. Romantic love between a couple is a cake. You have various ingredients you need to make a great cake. Blah blah blah, compassion, caring, communication. The hell with all that stuff.
Sex is the frosting. And let's face it, don't we tend to care more about how a cake is frosted than the cake itself?

Well my girlfriend went home yesterday night. It's early morning here at the moment but seeing her having to walk away last night was so upsetting. I shall be with her soon enough though. I'm just going to save every single bit of money I get and then be with her in, I'm hoping, September or so. The last 3 months have been the most amazing of my life.
