Forfy, HC is not a forum of random strangers. We are friends of some sort. Heck, I have better friends here than in RL!

Anyway, I want to apologise for wasting your time on me. I'm in a period of life when my mind is still developing.

Hey, you're still young. A lot of people in your age are more interested in being a pokemon trainer than picking up girls. So relax and chill out. you've got lots of time, unlike Forfy

Kid's at my school buy condoms in fifth grade and start smoking in the sixth. It doesn't sound like they care about anything else than being cool.

Condoms are old school, and to my expertise today's tobacco is weed. And it's not for being 'cool'; they feel useless in this society, so they break down their mind with alcohol or marijuana, so that they seem to have atleast a shred of personality and uniqueness. While a truly 'cool' person is someone who is naturally adept, unique and interesting to everyone's eyes.

It's not like it was any different in my elementary school. However, you must realize that inside, those kids are still KIDS that are trying to act like grown ups, which sums up my point.

Congrats, DS, I suppose. I hope it's mutual.

I find that the old 'you got lots of time' saying, is often percieved as an invitation to waste time. I believe if there's something you want to do and you've no good reason for postponing it, it doesn't matter how much time you can allow yourself to waste, if you start wasting time, you're just hurting yourself.

We're friendly towards eachother, no doubt. We're willing to sacrifice our time to help eachother. We often have fun with eachother. All are traits of friendship, but it's also the most one can expect. Some have even better relationships, where they'll be there for eachother when others are in need, despite how unconvenient it may be and a lot around here have been visiting eachother. Those last two traits, which are common in good strong friendships, is not something which can be expected, though.
Just because you've met friendlier people here, than in your every day life, does really tell more about the people of your every day life, or maybe about your world view, I don't know for sure.
The very nature of internet communication means that all of us, who don't actually behave like friends, i.e. spend time together regularly, despite some inconveniences, will, in the way I understand the word, be strangers. Friendly, yes, but still strangers.
E.g. someone could log off today and maybe first return in September, and you wouldn't even be able to contact that someone. It's adviceable not to put too much attachment to a forum (its users), because it's something you've very little control over.

No need to apologise. If I wasted time, then I was the one who wasted it, not you.
I think our mind is always developing btw., as long as we allow it.

You know, I never considered it that way before. Funny how we measure ourself in other peoples eyes in stead of merely being content with what we've. I suppose the people who're most rejecting, might be the ones who need a strong relationship the most.

I think that you people in deep love should watch this video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6Z6lwFQYYs
Its rather short and makes a good point.
I also wanted to say that, for a relationship to be successful, you yourself should be successful. Dont expect magic when you are a jobless, student or a depressed and or traumatized person. People seek people who are good going into their lives. If you want a successful relationship, you must have a good and rather successful life going on.

And if you are young, dont even bother with love. To say it bluntly, you are too dumb to understand how things really work.

First I was like.. what's happened with alci!?

Then I was.. oh it's an imposter!

Imposter alci!

The required standard for a working relationship is dependent on both parties. A relationship can't work if both parties don't live up to the minimum expectations required by eachother. It means that the term successful is completely subjective. It can depend on much more than what you can achieve. You can have been successful pr. default from birth, just by the colour of your hair.

But sure, for yourself, if you aren't happy with your life or aren't sufficient satisfied, obviously you'll have fewer ressources for a relationship, which means the odds of the relationship working is lower. It doesn't only apply to love though, it applies to work, friendship, etc. A relationship might be a way to overcome a barrier, but if it's the glue maintaining the relationship, then there are obviously problems in the fundament.

I wouldn't say young people shouldn't bother with love. We all mature differently and some couples who might never 'get it' the way you do, may still find happiness with eachother, while others might already 'get it', whatever 'it' is, at an age where they don't even consider a romance.

Well, people have to be retarded not to have their wealth separated under the marriage contract, especially in the west. Or do you actually mean that the spouse invested a little bit too heavily? That case seems to be the "Gold Digger" case.
Plenty of good reasons to be "Gold Digger" these days.

That's tragic. Dumb things can be informative though.

You have valid point there. Well, I guess I was too subjective when I said "Successful".
