A 16 year old girl not a child?  Don't believe the hype Doomforge.

Women don't lose their annoying girlishness until at least the age of 25.  And even that's predicated on whether or not their heart's been broken before.

You go fishing for minnows you catch minnows.

In all honesty, it seems your unnatural fascination with girls is because that way you can be the one 'in charge.'  Try doing that with a real woman who has her **** together and see how far your act takes you.

Oh.  I forgot.  You have what we call here in the US R. Kelly syndrome.  You don't like women.

Wow, I just relized we've been together with my girl for 3,5 years... we live at the same 40 square-meter house (it's small but at least we have our own sauna here ), my studies at university of applied sciences (Bachelor of Business Administration [Business Information technology]) are over at next december as I graduate... she'll graduate year later from univ.of apl.sc. too (Bachelor of Social Services)...  then we'll find ourselves a job... after that, I believe, is time for wedding and having kids and stuff... buying our own house... growing old...

Time just flies... it feels like yesterday since I was 17 and waiting to get a driving licence... and since I was 19 and got my very fist car ( Ford Sierra ).

Wow... time fliiiiiiiiiiiiies

kainc, I'm positively jealous, where do you people find all those serious relationships?

Gootch, guess you're right, but I wouldn't mind an older girl to be honest, it's just that if they are attractive (psychically & physically), they know about it and their ego is too big to bear. When they are younger, they at least don't have that annoying feat if they are attractive... in majority. I hate arrogant people so it doesn't cut, and I'm not interested in non-attractive girls either, a 100% "I-lose" situation, I guess

Well, Doomforge, I do believe you'll find a girl that is both mature, nice looking, but not arrogant because of that. Yeah, I know, they are rare catch and it takes time to find that "hot soulmate"

I've dated girls quite many times (I'm not actually speaking this with pride, since I was just looking for "the one", and not collecting "trophies") and usually those relationships ended after 3-11 months baucause they were either too acquisitive (no more hanging out with ma mates if she was not around... and she didn't want to hang out with them), constantly tried to make me jealous (which eventually included cheating... the act I despise the most and will never forgive), behaved otherwise too "teen-ishly" or were in relationship with another guy at the same time (which they didn't mention beforehand. This goes to the top 3 of despised things you can do in a relationship). Every brake up was a cut to my heart since I really cared about them.

Then I stopped this dating spree as I saw it brings me nothing but bad feeling in the end. It was hard, since I had gotten used to live in a relationship, which is bad thing; since you might force yourself to start another one if you can't live alone, so the relationship would have started not actually because of the girl but the relationship itself. That brings nothing but trouble, you need to LIKE the girl already, not just check if you'll begin to like her as you're together. This is my word of advice to all you guys in HC

Well, as I said, dating for me was over for three years. Eventually I fell for a very gorgeous girl, she looked just stunning, but I was too hasty, and I lost her. It doesn't matter now since we are like night and day, totally different, but I couldn't see it then as I was blinded by love (and her looks ).

Then I got pretty depressed since I never wanted part-time relationships but actually find the one. But after year or two, thanks to God, I found this beautiful girlfriend of mine. And what's best here; we are like best friends but also, of course, like lovers. We have so much fun together and she definately is my soulmate. She's mature, good looking, 4 years younger than me... seriously guys and girls, NO MATTER how bad your situation in relationships might seem right now, DON'T GIVE UP hope. Never. You'll find the one. Come kick me in the arse at age of 60 if you didn't

Yeah, very true. I don't know who invented the stupid "opposites attract" sentence, in fact I'm totally repelled by my opposites

Especially when it comes to things like how we perceive relationships.

Not everyone finds his/hers soulmate, kainc. Life would be too good if that was true. Most people cling desperately to the partner, afraid of being alone, eventually get married and divorced after a couple years, when they finally realize "it's not that person". >_>

And doing things like, having parallel partners, cheating to get attention and so on are beyond pathetic... indeed.

True... or should we say we might never encounter him/her? ...which makes it pretty much the same but my message would be: never give up hope. If you can't find the One, then I hope, for all my heart, that you can live as happily as possible alone. Which, in some cases, can actually be much better option (than like 1000 break ups and broken hearts).

Yeah, it sucks if you'll get married, have children and then discover that you can't get along with your partner. And what sucks even more, those kids will suffer too.

I have religious frieds, well I'm religious too but not in the same way they are. They can't go living together before they are married, bacause of their religion says they shouldn't. And after they marry each other and spend the next 2 years living together, they break up. And then they disobey the commandment or whatever it's called: "what God has united, that shall no man tear apart". Should they then live together, dispising each other? It would be a prison. My moral doesn't say, and I believe my God neither, that you can't live with your partner before marriage. It's the only way to get to know what it's like to spend your life with him/her.

It's strictly human invention to interfere with sex and relationships within religion, well, at least in Christianity, but it's not the topic for that. Anyway, they just follow church, and church is.. well.. church >_> Lets leave it at that.

I don't think people can be really happy alone, but it's better than being stuck in a piss poor relationship, with kids to make it worse.

How many people have found their soulmates and are really happy, I wonder? I guess the number is rather small.

Oh well.

It's small % yes. But it's possible.

Maybe I'm too naive and think like "if I found one, then everyone will". Wait... actually I don't think that way... argh...

well finding the so-called One isn't as simple as it sounds. It's the sum of multiple events that happened to occur in certain time and place. Yet... I want to be optimistic...

I believe that some individuals can be happy being alone. At least one of my friends says he is just happy having one-night relationships and never wants to get married. Now he's opinion might change later (he's 27) and surely he will think how it would be to live with a solid partner. But I'm not sure if it will make him unhappy.

Ok, I dumped her. In a friendly manner, without any anger, accusations, and so on. Which suits me well, I hate the drama related to dumping. Well, I was pretty much right, she didn't care THAT much to change her way of thinking, and we didn't have that much in common anyway except sex. No prob, was well worth it anyway.

Too bad I'm alone again for the summer. That is a little bit sad, yeah. I'm sure I wouldn't feel much better with her, though. Maybe even worse, with accusations and false hopes. Forced relationship is forced.

Ah, good ol' serenity of solitude. Give me back my Nerd Club Member Card please!

You sure?

Isn't this another case of "I don't like X so X must not exist" which constitutes over 70% of athiests? Of course in your case it is different, since you only use a sub-version or whatever (just the church -- and btw I agree that many things in the church are propaganda). But even if it were like you said, and you have to be honest with answering this one, would you feel comfortable or whatever or still struggle to find that it must not be true since you don't like it?

And you know "living together" or you know what is a bit abstract by itself, and that's not the "problem" here. It's the other thing that people want to link together (even though no "absolute" law does) that is "bad" religiously-speaking. (topic at hand anyway, or rationally-speaking for some ).

I of course see your point, but no, I do not struggle to convince myself that that part of religion which I don't like is wrong and must be a false addition. In fact, I spent a lot of time reading through Christianity's story and Church activity throughout the full 2000 years and I'm rather sure about those things. The Catholic Church, which I'm no part of but 99.9% of theistic Poles are, has a lot of their "own" teachings, not related to either Bible or Christ, and I think that I can safely ignore those. First, because I'm a Protestant, second, because I don't care for human made additions.

but it's not a good topic here, anyway, hope that answers your question Death.

As for relationships, I'm pretty much annoyed to find myself having to spend a lonely summer, well, most likely lonely since I'm not exactly the go-to-disco-pick-up-girls type. They say hope dies last, but I don't feel much hope now. And I definitely don't want more non-serious relationships, although those are easier to get. But no. They don't give the feelings of security and happiness, just some fun and ... well... that's it >_>

Doom, here's a bit of advice. Do you have any friends in RL? Are any of them female? If not, do any of your male friends have female friends that they hang out with publicly and with whom they are not in a relationship? Become acquainted with them. Then, if any of them are appealing (and instead of looking for sex, look for a long-term relationship) - proceed.

No, I don't like having female friends.

Not really, just some buddy-type females. Most often they don't look interesting enough to me.

That would work, but as I said, they aren't really interesting, both visually and mentally. Or, they are already in serious relationships.

Perhaps they think you're not appealing visually or mentally. And surely not all of them are in serious relationships.

Regardless, if I were to look for a girlfriend, that would be the way I'd go about it. But currently I'm not in the best position to do so.
