Poll Question:
US or British English?

Yeah that's the question. Which one would you rather learn (or learnt)? What accent do you like the most?

Personally I just hate american accent. British all the way

How is american english ever going to top this? Don't know why but british is just so awesome. Guess Monty Python and Rowan Atkinson (+many others) have done their part for it aswell.

Lol, and we make jokes about America as well. Does it even really matter if America makes jokes or if Australia makes jokes? Not really. Much more important things to worry about. lol

Actully I can't answer that question that well - I speak both - We don't get teached to speak British english nor do we learn american english, we learn to speak "english" in the form we like

I myself think I speak more american then british, but then again - we youngsters get affected by american movies, american games and other american culturial statements. England is making a notice of themselves anymore..

Quote from Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. Yeah, I read it in original. Took me ages, but I did

I use American spelling myself and I find American accent easier to mimic (not the Texan one ofc!) so if I had to choose.. I'd say American. British English spoken by natives is pleasant for the ear, though

1) Aussie all the way!!! aussie accents.
2) There are many many many british accents.
3) I like the scottish one the most. Since it's the manliest (people wearing kilts... Come on!).
4) Welsh people speak with no vowels so that's also funny.
5) I regret that I voted, since the poll isn't what it should be!
