ok this is only for the European version which I have:

In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE create an "Ubisoft" folder

Inside, create a "Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East" folder.

And then, inside this one create an "European" folder

In this one add two strings:
InstallPath - holds the path to where you installed Heroes 5 TotE (mine is "D:\games\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East")

UninstallCommand - better leave it empty since you didn't actually "install" it

Version - "1"

Also create two folders in this European folder:

1.URLs
Create a string named "VersionFile" inside with the value "http://patches.ubi.com/all_products_cab_files/heroes_might_magic_5.cab"

2.Versions
Create a string named "CurrentVersion" inside. The value of this one is unknown to me, since I check it now after I patched it and it looks like this "Heroes5a2_European_p1"... Maybe you should try something like "Heroes5a2_European"?

You can go directly 3.0 > 3.1. 2.1 is a HoF patch.

So anyone found out yet, what the proc numbers mean? I think I know someone who found out/got told by Nival what they mean. Maybe he gives permission to post it, in case tt wasn't already discovered and I just missed it.

Mods don't always work after patching, simple. It's been that way since the beginning.

Hi, Iīm here again to bring you bad news. Now they do, but they donīt apply the ability well, they do the whole damage to all creatures with retaliation (not attacking)

The 3.1 manual is out, check the manual thread here in the temple

Besides the already listed stuff, it explains the new form of triggering chances, which clarifies why torpor and paw strike seems to trigger always . Check it out ppl!

I have an issue with the built-in RMG [i can provide the map] : I generated a map, and it created some : 10 artifacts of cape of lion [+1 to morale], around 7-9 endless bag of gold [250+ gold] - crap!!!

wtf is that?!??!

does this RMG only generate minor SAME arties?

[I already use IRMG, so I deliver this info just for feedback and bug fixes inside the generator]

@antistar,

What version of the game are you using?
In v3.0, it is possible that you can find duplicate minor artifacts around the map, in my XL games it is common to have 5-6 clovers of luck or sacks of endless gold in mid-late game (I even once saw a levelled-up hero in tavern having 4 or 5 armor of valor).

In v3.1, the RMG seems to be changed such that relic artifacts are more likely to be found in adventure map (guarded by neutrals, I don't mean found in artifact merchants).

I don't mind seeing your map, email me please (but please ensure that it is virus-free, I don't think you want others to send you attachments with virus, do you?), and I may have more things to say.

about emailing virus : I think you address to the wrong guy;

as a thing for all : i'm no longer a kid who's in search for notoriety and make stupid jokes [never was]. - I do not feel insulted about that statement as you should not be ofendded by mine


As for the random map : it was generated with v. 3.1 and if I correctly recall there were only 2 major arties guarded by monsters.

I am just taking precautions, I know you are not that sort of person, once again, sorry.

A v3.1 map with only two major arties...hmmm...something interesting to explore...looks like the RMG is not so simple as I have thought...

Not sure if this has been mentioned before: but consume artifact now works on dead stacks. Also mark of the wizard now let's you cast several blade bareers at the same time.

Hero AI seems a bit dumber though, in duel mode it tends to cast deflect missile alot.

Consume artifact always was like that, as for motw/blade barrier combo that's a 3.1 thing.
