Ok I was kinda blown away but I still don't like this. I'm kinda busy these days and not very active -- frankly speaking my team would be a lot worse without me (no one's online atm lol) -- but I wasn't expecting this to be a problem.
I know there are other games but getting a free gold medal while I sleep or work isn't really that appealing to me 
I still think it would have been better with HCMs, but now it's kinda too late to go back.

Maybe, next time, it would be a better idea, if you announced the start of it(without showing any content), so we can be prepared.

I agree with DG and TheDeath. I was at work during the contest.
Understand that this is not about "winning" it's about equal chances .

Winning by non-submission is dishonorable, because some weren't even given a chance. It's not like you faced your "opponent" face to face and won honorably because you were better.
Most teams didn't even get a chance  (OSM at least had me trolling, since I was too busy then, and in fact still am).

You know, if GL announced the start of it, it would have been perfect.
You're too busy and don't show? Come on, you want to join this, make yourself some free time. It's not like the real olympics are waiting for someone because "he's busy"

Yeah but it's not like I'm always busy you know. For example, what if GL did this thing when you were sleeping? Is "waiting for someone because "he's sleeping"" an excuse as well?
(not that I was sleeping you know...)

Well this was exactly the kind of competition I didn't wan't this to turn out. Heck, No one of our team was online for a while and it's already over? 
I mean I'm so sorry that I prefer fishing to hanging on my PC all day long but you have to remember GL that some people do have lives and not everyone lives in the same timezone. At least make a schedule for all this if nothing else. That way people can even know when things start. It still sucks but majorly less.

I would just like to add that I agree with Joonas. I hope you do see that the current system still has room for improvement.
And I hope that it is understandable that the promise of contest that aren't based on "fastness" is not a compensation for the fact that you have people simply not participating because they had no idea that things started.
I hope you do understand that this is not criticsm towards you it's about how this should go.

Asheera... I'm not sure how serious this reply is but in case you were serious... I would love to "make myself some free time" unfortunately a Law Firm isn't a hotel and school starts in 4 days... I would love to have free time but I hope you understand that it's simply not possible. For perfectly acceptable reason I think (the fact that I live in Tokyo doesn't matter).

The games need to last longer or I'll be out as well. It is pretty lame if the first round is already over and a lot of contestants didn't even know it had started.

No deadline, I will judge when there are enough stories to judge.
Edit: I restarted the HC Treasure Hunt due to cheating of the competitors. Now it's impossible to cheat.
Anyway, everyone is welcome to try their luck.

I feel bad for Genielord.
Everyone is criticising and complaining about the way he is running things.
I think it is great so far.
The only thing is IMO it would be better to draw it out a bit longer by not having everything going on at once; maybe wait until some sports are finished before starting others. That gives you more time to sort out the ongoing ones etc and reduces chaos.
It also puts more emphasis on the ones that are going on at the time.
Like swimming and athletics at the olympics
Also it seems you might need at least one more judge to help with the Dramatic Writing.
I maybe could volunteer to help you judge all except mine if I have time, but I think multiple judges would be better.

First of all, thank you alloy. I appreciate it.
Second, you're right. I'm leaving some short things (like the H5 quiz) to the end, while long things, that might take time (like the Duel Tournament), I decided to start right now. The other three started early just to make a fun opening.
