Yes Usa supported Islam against Communists. Bin Laden could be a hero for USA if he had not attacked to twin tower. Because Usa supported him against USSR.
There are a lot of Islamic group. And they are fighting each other. For example; Usa supporting Islamic group A. But Islamic group Asimultaneously fighting against Islamic group B. In now. Islamic group B can fight against USA.

I don't know if you remember, but you have had a tendency to write in threads that hadn't been replied to for years and now you did the same here.
Not that I think it's necessarily wrong, but I think it'd be considerate of you if you'd at least look at the posting date of the latest post before you write in a thread, please.
