Heroes 3.59 the Advanced Levels
Heroes 3.59 the advanced levels...what is it?
Is it simply an add on to 3.59 (which I don't think is released yet)?
If not can I download it and run it with 3.58f?
Help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's an add-on which none apart from creators can use so far. 
Personally I find it an overwhelming overhaul of bullsnow, but the scripting used to make it is impressive.

Yes if you have WOG 3.59 (T1 version 14.2.2006).

So far its only the WoG team who have access to it, however i did see a recent forum mention that 3.59 is due to be released in the next couple/few months

hello all,
i was kind of hibernating the last few months (at least Homm3 wise). i'm the maker of the Advanced levels add-onn for Wog 3.59.
Happy to answer your questions.
availability of AL for free play: at the moment you need the 3.59 engine to make it work. Most of the AL work with the advanced dialogues wchich became possible in 3.59. Without having this, you cannot play most of the functionalities and error messages are certain.
As for the date of 3.59 issue - who knows. The true is that something is going on right now and after more than 2 years a new T1 was issued with some minor changes. Maybe we'll still have some official 3.59.

It's unlikely that homm3/wog will ever be obsolete and inferior.
Sure, Farcry has much better graphics and action than chess, where the only agression you get to display is taking a piece out by hand, rather than shooting it into oblivion, but it didn't become obsolete.
Just like chess, Homm3/Wog has made it into my personl Classic-Games-Hall-Of-Fame. I sometimes pause playing it for a few years and will revisit it from time to time. Now i found that there's even still a crowd developing the game... far from dead, more alive than any successors, i'd be willing to place a reasonable bet on Homm3 be longer around that Homm 6, 7 or 8.

comparing FarCry to chess is the weirdest action I saw in a long time.
I'm comparing 2 mods for HOMM3 with eachother: WoG and HotA.
I was merely stating that since it looks that HotA will come out before WoG 3.59, WoG will probably not be played on my computer again.
If we say that I'm not the only one who thinks about it that way, WoG becomes obsolete and inferior.
