So apparently Ninja Theory ****ed up the lore even more by saying that Eva (Dante's mother) wasn't human but an angel, so now Dante will not only have Devil abilities but Angel abilities as well (as seen with him either transforming his weapon thingy into an angel schythe or a devil axe)
WTF!

Well, is it a reboot or not?
In one interview Mr. Jones continually says it is, hence they might as well **** up all the lore they like for all the difference it makes, but at the same time he claims "it's the same Dante as before", ergo it's not a reboot at all. Schizophrenia.

They've said some major bull**** in their attempts to justify their Dante hahaha...
Like this:
“The essence of Devil May Cry is all about ‘cool. It’s about Dante being cool and making you feel cool when you’re playing it, and so the combat and the style system and everything is integral to that. But, you know, what was cool 12 years ago — I think that was when the first game came out — isn’t cool anymore. If Dante, dressed as he was, walked into any bar outside of Tokyo, he’d get laughed out. What Devil May Cry did when it launched was it brought everything that was great about action cinema like the fashion, music — it was like a cultural melting pot — and I feel like now, for Devil May Cry to have that same impact, it needs to draw on new things. New music, new ways of cinematography, new fashion.”
Yeah, this new Dante totally looks like the guy who could walk into a bar and own it. That's important.
Also saying that what was cool 12 years ago isn't anymore is like spitting in the face of the Dante-fans haha... Dante was cool and still is cool.
I don't get their reasoning at all. Like dark emo teenagers are a revolutionary and cool thing nowadays...

Gameplay does look pretty damn sleek after all... still don't like their Dante but maybe... yeah maybe there's some hope here... all depends on what they make of the story...
Fans are still mad though haha, look at the number of dislikes in the video ^^
A prequel starring Sparda would've been awesomer anyway.

Looks to me like they improved Dante's face a bit, and to be honest I kinda like the voice actor. However he's still a half-demon half-angel retard in this game so **** him anyway.
The gameplay looks much less intense than what we expect from a DMC game. Aerial Reaves should be full of HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH *continous hail of blows culminating in massive downward slash*... ya know. Looks very slow overall.
Also his ghost follower reminds me of the annoying MEGAMAN MEGAMAN girl from Egoraptor's Sequelitis vids. NO **** B****, you sure I have to take it out? Oh you marked the exit for me with a glowing light? THANK YOU, I are mentally deranged and can't find huge window without glowing bulb.
Treating the gamers like idiots.
Fortunately ya'll can get the Devil May Cry HD collection and play the first 3 games again instead. 3rd game still awesomest.
