The duel was interesting at first because both factions are tough and have a lot of nasty “toys”, but when his hero ran out of mana and the most important runes were spent he lost the game.

This was a very nice fight
At first I thought Fortress would clearly win, but the situation changed later.

Hehe yeah, divine vengeance would have killed my poor orks all by itself.
Man, I was almost sure I was going to lose this time… I don’t know what happened but I messed everything up when leveling up my hero. Well, snow happens lol.

Yep, when I moved my wraiths next to half his army that was an epic brain fart... But luckily for me vampire princes are so good that I ended up winning.

Very interesting battle!
There were a few times when Haven moved the units badly (to get hit twice by the Cyclopes) but otherwise well played!
btw, I imagine how you must have felt when those Champions charged and eliminated all your Paokais

The first was ambiguous for a long while but I kinda expected necro to win, it was clear that the mana would not last for too long. A few mass light spells could do the trick or maybe if the deep freeze was focused on the vampires.
The second was very good as well but ballista without flaming was pretty ineffective. Also the centaurs were allowed to survive till the end and after the angels and champions go down they can pretty much do as they like. I suppose the angels were originally aiming for them so the griffins dived for the least likely target the goblins. I'd have aimed for the shamans so at worst the centaurs would be blocked and unable to avoid a dive.
Btw what's with the marksmen and inquisitors, did phoenix get the bow?

I attacked the goblins with the griffins on the first dive because I fear 'horde's anger'. I expected it to kill more of them.
I like Marksmen for the precise shot...but the way it played out I was wishing I had crossbowmen.

Well, I always choose paokais instead of foul wyverns because I think paokais are generally better, so when I chose foul wyverns just for a change and Phoenix kills all of them in 1 lucky blow, I interpreted that as a divine message from the god of game (there must be one!): stick to paokais dude!

I don’t know if focusing deep freeze on vampires would have made things easier for Phoenix, because I had unicorn’s horn bow. When he killed all my lichs and wraiths thanks to deep freeze and then all my poor archers too, my damage potential decreased so horribly that I needed fire elementals. Yeah torpor was omnipresent, but nobody expected it to trigger in every single blow, not even me as my initial strategy was based on plain and boring ranged power, which failed horribly lol.
I played better in the second game but I picked the wrong skills (for example I had Shatter Dark but he never used a dark spell), so you can say my chances of victory depended on his mistakes.
By the way, I thought that powerful blow would hit twice thanks to executioners, but it didn’t. Epic fail… I should know such things. And when I saw marksmen instead of crossbowmen it surprised me too!

We tried to have a game with Asheera but I got a d/c, just my luck  Anyway I kept a replay from the battle so far and we will resume tomorrow. Hopefully things will not change but we should at least have the same starting positions.

Oh and I have like... 19 Defense with Orcs lol, Exp. Enlightenment + some artifacts (and I also have Stamina)

I have just finished my duels with Fiur.
First one, win for me, necro vs haven, basically won because of fire trap and raise dead.

Second one, win for Fiur, haven vs. orcs, quite a hard defeat.

Oh man, oh man, oh man, I just can't wait to see the match between Eugen and Elvin/Ash.
I think I'll have my duels with Azagal Wednesday. He is strangely quiet lately.

What's up with not training champs in both games?
Also why not just teleport the squires in the end of the first match?

Great we had an update. And no I can't just accept a victory, let's play it to the end Besides the game wasn't over yet.
My suggestion is we play again and if the starting positions and atb are the same we continue playing as we did for as long as we remember. Otherwise you move elsewhere on the map and have the same match from the beginning with a fresh battlefield and atb.
