And it wasn't such a 'crush'. Those Arcanes were killing around 5 Paladins in one shot. Maybe if a lucky shot triggered (some 10% chance), I would be close to a win - I still had some Teleports available I think to get out of the Squire's range.
Oh and maybe if Blindness triggered on the Paladins with the Unicorns the situation would be different - but there was no blinding strike in the entire game (except late on the Seraphs)

Crush? Heck no far from it. The whole case was about how many resurrects you had if you also count the occasional teleport. Only my griffins were rooted to place, the others could move with about 5 morale and divine guidance and it is unlikely that you could stay in a safe place for long. I don't remember how much mana I had, wonder if I could cast a haste. The only mistake I could make that might lose me the game would be moving my seraphs to uncover the unicorns but I'm pretty sure that their hp was sufficiently reduced as well, you resurrected them a bit too often.
About the blinding strike you probably know it's hp based and I made sure from the beginning to reduce their numbers  For the same reason it would probably not trigger if you resurrected them again later.
Anyway the case is hypothetical but what I know is that I needed little luck to score a good hit on the arcanes.

I meant that the battle wasn't a 'crush' on my part, meaning that you didn't 'crush' me like some others say. It was a balanced victory

Maybe I missed a deleted post, but who said that Sylvan (ash) v
Haven (elvin) was a crush? No one. (In fact the word wasn't even used by anyone but Ash and she wrote it in quotes like she was referencing someone?  )

I did say poor Sylvan but that was in reference to them losing both fights against orcs and haven. I didn't mean to imply THAT fight had been lopsided. It was more even than the other two

Indeed, the current version allows up to lvl 21 - 22 with dark revelation - which is not high enough to get an absolute perk. That would create imbalances.

I agree it would be unbalanced, but I tried in the skillwheel. Take Laszlo for example. When you start with advanced counterstrike, retaliation strike and expert trainer, that makes him level 4 in the skillwheel. If level 4 in the skillwheel means level 1 in the game, then level 24 in the skillwheel means 21 in game. So in the skillwheel, you can acctually choose skills and abilties up to level 24 (if you choose at least adv. c.str + retal.str and exp.tr.) Then if I click on "unstoppable charge" the skillwheel sais Laszlo is level 23, which means I have two levels to go... ... ...
When starting with adv. c.str + retal.str and exp.tr. level 21 IS enough for ultimate perks... Have someone tried to aim for ultimate perks, to see if it works, or are they banned?

EDIT: And yeah I guess the best solution would simply be to ban the ultimates not to decrease the level cap to 21. Ultimates would of course be unfair since they're only available to factions with Dark Revelation.
EDIT: Ahahahaa tried out Inferno with Ultimate Gating xD ahahaaha. That'd certainly make others play inferno in this tournament.
