Mini arties can't help I tried acmademy vs dungeon stategy with all the coolest anti-magic arties, and it was unsuccessful We can't ban the arties... we can ban the shoping mall for dungeon

mini arties dont help? i will just tell you that in my last game versus dungeon (regular game, not arena) after the mini arties my gremlins had initiative 26 (!!) all the others more than 16 and the opponent didnt uses any destructive spells as he told me that with a spellpower of 23 he had the implosion would do no more than 300 damage to me. 71% spell damage reduction

yes but they are mostly important against dungeon or necro. the initiative just gives you the win. of course at this game i had staff of the netherworld (-20% initiative for opponent), ring of celerity. but still it was fun watching your gremlins playing 2 times in a row!

just a note to elvin and for the other to say their opinions. only serious opinions plz with players that have seen what i am talking about !

1) necro needs more army due to lack of usage from necromancy
2) give less resources as they are too many, they make academy too strong

these two are suggestions in order to make duel map look more to a normal game

We've talked before, I have given enough boost to necro. In fact necro gets the necromancy benefits but can even erase the racial to learn other skills, if nothing else it has a benefit. And if you count the DE by week 3 you'll have 100 skeleton archers, 15 vampire lords and 4 wraiths which is the norm - actually maybe slightly more. Yes you might have chose something else but this is the simplest, most balanced way to go about it.

About academy I will check it but when I played vs phoenix's necro it was very very close. Will try a few things, at worse I will remove the pendant.

Arties are boosted by the Heroes Knowledge. So if he has an enormous amount of Knowledge (due to perks, Artefacts, Expert Enlightement etc) you can get insane boosts to Mini-arties. Consume Artefact needs to be nerfed as well. It's an instant ressurrection + Mana Gain

No comparison, it doesn't even come close. No idea where you got the mana gain part, it only resurrects since 1.3 of the original H5 I'll need to try academy more as artificer was one of the reasons this faction is the least tested in the map. But I don't believe it's overpowered because of two reasons:

First and foremost you cannot get the insane 30+ knowledge you gain on those crazy epic maps, more probably 20 with enlightenment. That's nowhere near gamebreaking.
Secondly certain factions already have the upper hand, perhaps you are used to academy ownage on week 3 but you have not seen a fully built and upgraded sylvan or stronghold that early. Artificer is the only way to survive assuming you manage to win.

Edit: Negative. Trying to defeat sylvan, orcs or haven without lvl 3 arties is hell and still not easy with them.

i just suggested something so the duel map can be better. if you dont want it to be better , not my problem! also disable the familiars. imbalanced. in regular games heroes have way more mana

Lol I just treid to fight against the Ai... He's so stupid. He takes the Sphinx, but accepts the Gold Bonus (WTF) and then turtles himself in his castle. LMAO. I Won decisively Versus the Ai with ONE ARMY and EXPERT DARK lol

it seems that yes elvin, i know some balances better than you , if you dont agree wiht these 2-3 things i suggested.
1) necro needs more
2) academy needs les resources
3) familiars should be banned

How exactly did you win the AI with those garrisons? Unless there is instant travel in the map, I forget

A disclaimer I should have posted long ago:
This map is about the balance of the game as it was intended by the developers that while occasionally faulty it does have a counter for everything. Artifacts are situational, especially the knowledge ones and in a regular game the enemy will also have more familiars. Instead of going all 'imba this, imba that, ban' try to think of those counters. I have won inferno with every single faction, even those with pathetic knowledge.

Get mana perks, learn swift mind, get resistance, divine guidance whatever. If you play correctly you will have a fair chance winning with any faction, even necro vs dungeon that is supposed to be the worst combination. Likewise arcanes are powerful but few and thus cannot be abused as much as in a regular game.

Don't be fooled because you play with the balance of rich maps.

Lex, just play in Hot-Seat versus yourself, and if you really want to fight with the AI then set the other player in Auto-Combat mode

A better solution would be to choose the two factions you wish, set as human, pick your skills for both and then have the battle. Autocombat for the enemy Of course it's always better to try a human opponent, smarter moves

Now about the tournament itself:
I will wait until Thursday to see what happens with a few people but also because I will be busy during that time. I doubt you'll get bored in the meantime

I will be mostly away for the next few days so I updated the map. It's possible that I have forgotten something but it should do for now.

Duel Map 1.5

- Taverns disabled.

- Elemental boosting artifacts disabled along with cloak of Sylanna, let's not weaken dungeon instead

- Ring of speed and staff of netherworld disabled. Normally I would not care but in a tournament it's better to eliminate part of the randomness. Dungeon with staff or academy with ring are scary.

- Earthquake disabled because it sucks.

Edit: Fixed a bug where the map appeared twice in map list. If you dled already get this one.
