Can necromancer no longer retrain when it unlearns necromancy? I did a match with sq79 and I only had 21 skills as a level 21 necromancer when I unlearned some necromancy skills & perks.

Sometimes the mentor wastes skills, I have no idea what causes this. One thing is for sure, if you see one skill not return then don't unlearn any more - slippery slope

Didn't know that, thanks. Semi final update with zamfir, I won 2-0.
Replays.
First was sylvan vs haven, I felt like I lost the ground beneath my feet when I saw him train all 20 champions  Even in the hands of an less experienced player they can be devastating so I decided to take the offensive and block his moves before it was too late and managed just that. I got a bit lucky but that said zamfir lacked stormwind, retribution, divine guidance or luck that could have made his life easier. Also training all champions meant less artifacts so I ended up having superior stats.
Second one was academy vs sylvan that had a better pace but the game was judged early when I blocked his units from reaching me using terrain obstacles and blade barrier. From that point it was a matter of time as I slowly weakened the sylvan forces from afar, still he put up a good fight.
Afterwards we decided to play the other match concerning his missing points from lesij's fofeit. I decided to get inferno for a change and he picked dungeon. Luckily I got lightning ring, cloak of sylanna and light with fire resistance, unfortunately I could not get master of wrath for my haste/RM.. And even worse he had a powerful deep freeze whose element was the only one I was not warded against 
Awaiting to resume the games tomorrow 
I have a few games with phoenix as well but I'll post them in the random duels to avoid information overload

The first duel was a massacre. That initial sylvan charge was just too powerful and Zamfir signed his death when he attacked dragons with his griffins instead of using battle dive on arcanes. The prismatic breath was a true pain and without champion charge, crossbowmen, and griffins, Zamfir was already dead.
The second duel was more of the same. When Zamfir moved his dancers, treants and unicorns into titans’ full damage range he signed his death again. On top of that those academy units had an unusually high defense, so not even dragons could kill enough of them. And that blade barrier was a good move Elvin , you successfully forced Zamfir to enter through a choke point guarded by those 17 initiative titans  .
The third duel was closer. At first I thought inferno was going to win but dungeon units did too much damage to those poor infernal troops.

Wow those two duel matches were a slaughter. Especially the Academy-Sylvan where Elvin didn't even get around to using Consume Artifact. Zamfir had some awkward choices of attack though that I don't think helped, but just the same, getting inside that Academy formation would have been tricky. It's hard to say what should have been done.

Haven - Sylvan... what a slaughter (and people were saying Sylvan is weak, especially against Haven)
The Sylvan - Academy one... pretty much a slaughter because of the nasty block.

Nice replays
In that Fortress vs Inferno match, the Fortress units acted so much I guess it's because of Mass Haste.
The Dungeon vs Academy was one of the shortest battles I've ever seen One big mistake: Magic Mirror. I NEVER use extremely powerful spells against Academy if they can be redirected (that means, I use only area or mass spells)
The Necro VS Academy one was awesome... very tight.

That academy necro was really tight indeed. Some good elemental gargoyle use there. Necro got interesting primary skills though. 13 SP? Not very necroish.
As I have learned by the hard way. NEVER single spells versus academy. (Unless you're feeling extremely lucky. Or are eugen or elvin.)
Fortress vs. inferno shows that winning that kind of match is really hard for inferno. They just don't have the endurance.
Although inferno played really well they just got crushed.

I'm going to pretend that match never happened. I didn't have any corresponding elemental artifacts (besides lightning, which sucks) and I didn't have Summon Phoenix or any of the good lower level summoning spells. And the mentor shafted me by not letting me relearn skills. That second chain lightning was an intentional suicide to speed things up.
I could have played it safe and used unenhanced fireballs, but that wouldn't have won me the match either way.   
Good luck with the finals you two. It should be a good match up.

Magic Mirror is one of the reasons I hate Academy when playing Dungeon. The other is the presence of those Magnetic Golems.

The first duel was a really good game. Deep Freeze + evercold icicle + 20 spell power + mark of the wizard + elemental gargoyles… too much for my poor undead army… even with last stand. The duel was close anyway, I just needed more mana :-P .
The second and third duels were less interesting, but they were fun anyway.
Damn you Blizzardboy! Elvin defeated my necro before in a friendly match, and now you do it too :_(
Well, I’m the final boss again, but this time I face the mighty Elvin... Great duels will take place... I feel awesomeness in the air .
