Loved the academy - necro match, exciting  About the dungeon one magic mirror redirects hostile spells at about 50% chance in this level, that was nasty. The inferno match was also a great replay, unfortunate that they lost like that. Certainly shows that they need to be weakened, sorry for that.
Anyway vae victis and congratulations for Final_Boss! I'm not sure if I will be able to play since I have to teach my mother some computer stuff and later I'll go for a drink with some friends. Plus I had to finish the last match(es) with zamfir, you'll see me around probably tomorrow.

The finals have begun with Final_Boss having a head start. I started writing this post when I saw his message on msn that he would post the replay and go to bed so I'll have to oblige  I'll only say that it was an amazing game and I hope the next will be equally exciting

Watch it guys, you won’t regret it . All I have to say is that Elvin is an amazing player. Every time I play against him I know I’m going to suffer a lot even if luck favors me.

Summoning against summoning isn't such a common battle as one might think. There were so many arcane crystals all over the place my head was spinning.
Does soldier's luck give torpor a 100% trigger chance?

Effectively yes The problem in this duel was that I had no haste or RM so I could not go for stormwind, especially since defense popped up and every single perk mattered. I also had elemental balance and kept wondering if he was saving it for the end but unfortunately he didn't have it and I could not use mine effectively because my mana was quite low plus he had ring of banishment. As you may have guessed I left the hive alone to drain his mana faster, unfortunately mine could not last much longer. In the end I needed 1 more mana to cast arcane crystal near vamps and still act first to attack it with hero, would have been lovely But then those vamps weren't going to die anytime soon the game was lost. My last hope was when I hit my titans with stone spikes and hoped to get a lucky attack with no torpor afterwards, was worth a shot.
Was enjoyable either way  Academy vs necro is one of my favourite matchups, long and tactical. The vampires proved too much so I will be decreasing the extra vamps to 8 in the next version.

Yeah I was surprised when I saw you didn’t had storm wind. I expected a light/destructive or summoning/destructive combo, that is why I had boneward, protection, cloak of sylanna and the dragon flame tongue. Sadly I was a bit unlucky with my guild and shrines too… no slow or confusion and no firetrap neither the phoenix  , but summoning is a must so I had to pick it. Something had to replace dark so when luck showed up I picked it, but I wanted attack for battle frenzy and power of haste.
I hoped fog veil, torpor and summon hive would be enough to counter your highly superior initiative, but that hive troubled me more than it troubled you, as always…  It did some damage anyway, though I hoped you would destroy it before I would ran out of mana .
Well, we still have to play one more duel at least. Mmm… what faction should I pick? I’m tired of haven’s champions and dungeon & academy artifact combos of doom .

The third tournament is officially over, Final_Boss vs Elvin 1-2. There were some net issues on my part but thankfully we were able to finish the games today.
Replays.
First game was dwarves vs sylvan, mass endurance vs mass haste I used a defense->def formation, light->stormwind/abjuration, luck->dwarven luck, enlightenment build and apparently final boss tried something similar. I had some dragon arties so my shooters and flamelords acted first making the game easier for me, also his dragons could not reach me. Eventually we reached a point of d/c where we agreed that the game was mine. Reason was that the druids were down so there could be no more resurrection spamming plus his remaining units could barely hurt me. I had regeneration, resurrection, deflect missile and teleportation but limited mana so I was biding my time waiting to counter his move. For the record his suppress light was great
The final match was haven vs orcs where I got lucky. While my arties weren't spectacular boss's were crappy and I also had enlightenment that gave me a considerable stats advantage. It would be very hard to win this but then he had fear my roar that he rarely used. Makes sense however since he had stunning blow and weakening strike, that brought my units' attack from +12(RM) to -3, after all you can't keep scaring hastened units unless you have expert shout. Only then I realized he had the wrong shatter.. Reason I picked light was because it was the first to pop up and I had all the spells I needed lol
I managed to win for the first time woot!  Congratulations to Final_Boss for his quality games and courteous attitude, you'll have your vengeance another day. You still make it to the top 2, not bad

Regarding the Sylvan - Fortress match: When I first saw that you didn't move away with the High Druids on the Arcane Archers' spot, I was thinking that you wanted to resurrect the AA's, but you did not, you resurrected the Dragons. It would have been a lot better to move the High Druids one tile up to preserve them, since the Flame Lords were entangled and wouldn't have been able to attack them anymore.

We started one game with Zamfir but there were net issues so it will be continued tomorrow. Here is the replay till the d/c, kinda funny. After my squires' action the conscripts were about to attack the vamps. I think this is gonna be a slaughter even without light
On another note the 4th tournament will likely begin within 1-2 weeks as usual. Those interested let me know.
Meanwhile here is the latest version. Not finished yet, hope to have it ready by the time the player slots are filled.

My bad, link fixed. It's 3.4 with some tweaks but since it will be used in the next tournament I renamed it to 4.x. The cups are far far away for now.
In short the changes are:
Extra terrain battlefields.
Unupgraded units + extra gold for upgrades.
-1 cyclops, -2 wyverns
-1 magma, -4 battleragers
Champions capped at 25.
Lvl 3 mini arties banned.
Extra vamps decreased to 8.
