If the project even get to the start-point, there's still a hell lot of work to do.. But if we are able to get it finished, it would be the biggest and best mod ever in Heroes history ;p
I don't think it's possible to make everything work..
Fx: How do you think it's possible to make TLOTR models out of H5 Models? And basicly the mod will only change and move arround on some creatures, but the game doens't grow larger like NCF does!
And damn my english needs to be trained

Hardly ... But I must admit I don't understand the reasoning behind requesting a mod for a game you can't play.

even though i cant play it, other people can, and once i get my computer fixed, i will be able to do it
as for making lotr models out of homm5 models, that shouldn't be too difficult. Not everything has to be perfect.

right now this doesn't include campaigns, but if the first stuff is successful, then we can do lotr campaigns, but it will be extremely big.

I don't mean to bring it down, but I agree with the majority. Myself and a few others attempted over hauling H5 and making it more like H3 multiple times, all have led to failure (has anyone seen E-Lysander lately?) There's plenty of help and ideas around here, and I'd even pitch in to help if needed, but take ToK for example. That mod has taken a LONG LONG time, and many many people. All I can say is that it's simple courtesy to assist in creating you're ideas.. so don't expect the community to jump on this band wagon if all you can do is shout commands and crack the whip, so to speak. I mainly headed my project on my own (with some texture help from Ulfara and council from Gnoll-Mage) and learned a great deal about how HV works.
If you all do decide to continue. Best of luck, and let me know if there is anything I could do to help. It would be a pity to see hopes of such a great thing be shattered 10% of the way thru.

You are probably right, but i believe it can be done. And i am not just the guy cracking the whip. I am trying to put together stats for all of the units, so that the modders only have to put it together.

I agree with pause, we have seen countless of these big projects starting and they all died except TOK, The problem is, everybody on this forum likes to make stats and/or textures, but nobody likes to do the other work which is much more. I have enough knowledge of the game to do design a complete stats-overhaul in one evening. But I would need to go through several weeks of xml-editing and testing to make such a large mod.

Well that's maybe because the people hwo started the projects didn't like it anyway, and didn't have time to do it!
Me for an example have very little time because of my education and drivin lessons, and my hobbies!
But still, this is a project with retexturing, and i like that..
I hate the lord of the rings though!

Haven-> Gondor/ Humans
tier 1: Peasant(peasant)-Militia(conscript)/???(brute)=change symbols to tree
tier 2: Archer(archer)-???(archer)/???(archer)=change symbols to tree
tier 3: Swordsman(Footman)-Tower Guard(Squire)/???(Squire)=change symbols to tree and make wings on Tower guard bigger, and give him a cape if possible
tier 4: ???(hunter)-Ithilien Ranger(scout)/Dunedain(Stalker)= get tree symbol and shorten hunter's ears. make the hunter dude not so elvish and remove tattoo's if possible
tier 5: Healer(cleric)-???(inquisitor)/???(zealot)=tree symbol, and add more armor to the inquisitor if possible
tier 6: Knight(cavalier/champion)-Knight of Dol Amroth(paladin)/ Rohan Horseman?(cavalier/champion)

Smithy an armed with Smiths Hammer peasant He can repair War Machines for example or have Armour Destroyer ability -2 Def on each attack
