Crappy new one? Never heard of that, still when a new series is made of old cartoons it's almost a guarantee that it will be inferior or altogether lame. As for my avatar I'll probably keep it for a while

Mods can change their avatars,why not?
So about this I will give an example: GL
When he become a mod,his first choice (of MOD avatar - with that shield) was the Heroes 5 Djiin Avatar,but then he chaged it to the Heroes 2 Genie Avatar

Well I wouldn't want somebody picking my custom avatar that is supposed to be mine and then realise that I am not able to pick it because it has been reserved. I would find that quite annoying nowadays since I make my own custom avatars. I like to be unique.

I agree
When you have a costum avv best you should reserve it (if you think is very special and nice) ,but if someone was a nice and for me a little funny avv,good is to simply have it,but not reserve it.
This is just my opinion
And an offtopic question:
If a get a costum avatar,stay with it (for example 1 year) and then get bored of it,can I have another?

Yes. There is a 1 custom avvie per year rule here.
