BlueRay is not only skin details! That only tells me that you don't even know what blueray actually does to a movie!
The movie becomes much more real, and you are feeling that your in the movie! Details in dark scenes becomes easy to spot!
Sci-fi movies looks much more realistic (Even though it isn't)
Animation movies has more depths in the picture!

You can't denie bluray is much more worth and beatifull than standard DVD's!
Blueray is the best quality you can get! But it works only with big HD tv's and Sorround sound! And then watching movies with Dolby D.. <3
It's like a cinema with better picture, but lesser screen!
People hwo don't like blueray, only says that because they can't buy them! And doens't have the right tv or speakers to it!

LOL are you using advertise-speech? I'm talking about technical details. It does not have better colors. It has more pixels per image, and 4x4 blocks instead of 8x8 (so the compression "artifacts" are less visible but I doubt you've seen blocks in movies before, DVD is very good as well). Technically, of course you can start and spread the mumbo-jumbo but that doesn't impress anyone with technical knowledge about it. 
As for surround sound, who said DVDs don't have surround sound? Of course, Blu-ray has uncompressed sound but of course now you'll say "of course, compression sounds so awful" because I said it to you -- 90% of the people WATCHING a movie (not listening specifically for the compression artifacts) do not make a difference.
And of course I say it sucks for the price lol. Not to mention such high-def screens take a lot of power as well, especially if they are big.
But I'm drifting off topic. Feel free to spread more non-technical mumbo-jumbo.
PS: (as a note, people like you complained that HD-DVD for example sounds worse than Blu-ray since it uses losslessly compressed sound, but they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about; lossless compression is like .zip, only specialized for audio in this case, so it DOES NOT lose any quality at all, rather it doesn't waste as much space; it does NOT have the impressive compression ratio of Dolby Digital or .mp3, but it still has a good 2:1 or 3:1 compression ratio, with the SAME audio, no degradation what-so-ever, that's why it's called LOSSLESS. DVDs of course use Lossy compression (Dolby Digital 5.1) but like I said, 90% of people who watch a movie rather than INSPECT it do not make a difference; if you want to test yourself, do a double-blind test, rather than make up mumbo-jumbo claims)
PPS: I've known someone like you, he was put up on a large display, and they told him it was Blu-ray in the movie (in fact it was an UP-SAMPLED DVD ) and he said "how awesome it looks compared to DVD!", then imagine his shock seeing that he was actually watching an upsampled DVD

Seeing as you are from Denmark I can't understand how you can stand the NTSC format of blu-ray. Afterall if you had been an american you wouldn't know better but you have watched PAL for the whole life of yours and you seriously don't notice anything funny in the blu-ray movies? Hmm. 
Next time you watch something with fast action like fighting, for example, pay some attention to how the motion goes. You'll should notice that it isn't smooth. 
I agree about the quality of the picture though. There are some things in where HD really has it's place. One of those is football. The greater resolution really helps in that and other things where you see an overall picture of the happenigs once in a while.
hunter you should know that there just HAS to be another girl.

Yup it helps there because most is viewed from a distance, and of course it's logical that a higher resolution would help -- but no "crystal-clear colors" or other mumbo-jumbo (nothing to do with COLORS for example).
and it's NTSC not NTFS (the filesystem )

It's a shame to see that Ubi cannot be original for once and do a proprer PrinceOfPersia game... the ones who played Ico,Shadow of the Colossus or Okami will know what I mean...

I don't think they actually know which part it is.. they claim it's not a part but a new game... it can't be 4th because there was another 3d prince before sands of time, and they say this new prince is "something else"... but looking at it seems nothing special.. bits from ico, bits from okami.. some old stuff.. next gen graphics... a lot of money.. that's what they do best..

For me an obvious thing is watching a movie on a bigger screen is better. Why would anyone go to the cinema for if it wasn't this way?

EDIT: What I find interesting is that so many games get animie-fied very much...
Oh and that female... lol? She is like his walking *grab on to something* station xD. I hope she's embeded in the story somewhat half decent if not that'd be pretty lame.

What can i say? I'm a little bit perfectionist, and have a good eye on quality and price! Nothing is enough,.
Azagal# I don't really understand why you can't see more difrence in blueray and dvd's? What is your tv? Size? Quality? Everything?

Loads of dollers? Blueray isn't that much expensive in denmark! Espesially not when i get them for -30% danish kroner!
And in fact i never buy dvd's! I burn them for increasing the quality!

The original DVD has the best quality, any "rip" already starts with THAT information, so you CANNOT create information when you didn't have to start with. You can of course decrease the quality anytime.
(and no, "interpolation" is not creating information, it's guessing)
and of course you can see the difference between Blu Ray and DVD, if you look at the skin details or get close up to your TV just for THAT reason (instead of watching it).

I use my "Advanced Thread Necromancy" -skill to ressurect this thread as an undead abomination of its former self.
I recently picked up the Ubisoft Exclusive release of Prince of Persia Trilogy (that is Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones in one) for the PC. My motives were: I heard good things about the games, it was relatively cheap and I had gamepad handy.
I finished Sands of Time recently and I thought that it was a pretty good game with a nice atmosphere. It kind of reminded me of Soul Reaver, but the camera doesn't suck and the combat is quite less satisfying.
Then I moved on to Warrior Within... 
There will be rambling...
When the installation started I got barraged with dark & gothic artwork of dark & gothic stuff like women who are barely even wearing black leather or red silk and lots of dark architecture and some dark & looming ambient music sort of thing. I thought: "I did hear things about the atmosphere being a bit different, but I didn't expect this."
Once the installation was complete and I was off to the menu screen I chuckled a bit at the heavy metal music and the indoors whirlwind. I alsso noticed there to be special features wich might be a nice bonus. I checked the controls and I was happy to notice that I didn't have to tinker with my computer to get my gamepad working and gave the game a good thumbs up.
Then I decided to actually start the game and I was asked to select a difficulty level! I can't believe it! They were actually trying to give this game some kind of replay value! (I picked normal, because I'm hardcore and thats the way I roll!)
My optimism for this game started to fade as I soon heard the prince start spouting out lame taunts along the lines of:

"Out of my way!"
"Can you hear it? My blade hungers for you! *Get in my belly!*"
When we came to the prince shouting: "You *female dog*!" in a short cutscene when he was fighting some odd S&M lady, I just rolled on the floor laughing. This is just over the top ridiculous! The prince suddenly turns from a likeable little smartarse to some wannabe badarse! Little did I know that the line: "You *female dog*!" was to be a very fitting word to describe my relationship with this game.
It is extremely easy to get the prince killed and the game is not nearly as generous with the time reversing abilities and checkpoints, so I have to play the same parts over and over again with a truckload of annoyingly dark & gothic game over -screens! Sure the combat has improved alot, but the main hook of the earlier games, the fast paced plantforming, has been horribly crippled by the constant game over -screens & scarce checkpoints that keep breaking the "fast paced" part! This game is quite a female dog to play. I think that I am playing it just that I know what the situation is in The Two Thrones...
I have nothing against challenging videogames, but in my book: Challenge=/=being a female dog to play!
