Bah, that sucks. Why can't they just try and make an MMO where you don't have to pay a monthly fee?

I don't know. What I do know is that I won't buy it if there is a monthly fee.

Yeah, same with me. Not everyone has the money to pay for monthly fees while trying to pay for other things such as food, bills etc.

I agree, it's not like there isn't a MMO like that already (Guild Wars) and it hasn't been an utter failure either - quite the opposite I think.

Well, that depends on how many thousand droid controlling megaservers they intend to run.And judging from the pictures, the graphics seem to be ugly

Guild Wars really isn't even an MMO, its just MO.
The MMO market is kind of flooded at the moment with all kinds of "EverAge of Warhammer Guild World Ultima War Quest Online: Shadows of the Wrath of the Burning Reckoning of Angmar 2 Super Mega Turbo Championship Edition WITH CINNAMON SPRINKLES!"
Seems interesting though.

I was excited about this until I got to the part where the article said this game would take place 300 years after the first two. I understand the need to open up the world again, especially since KOTORII (spoilers at end of post), but I want to play as Revan in his impending crusade rather than hear about it centuries later. I hope they go back and make a proper KOTORIII about Revan someday and leave his storyline well enough alone in this title so that everything isn't revealed through textual histories.
I did like the fact that your choices actually mean something now because you can't just save and undo them, though.

saw the Jedi Order almost wiped out completely

This annoys me deeply. After all the high praise and exaltation KotOR I & II got, their best idea was "hey, let's make an entirely new game that has nothing to do with the first two." Sure it keeps the name, but putting it three centuries after the first two? That's like continuting the movie trilogies from fifty years after Skywalker! More to the point, I have no fast connection to allow MMORPG play, and I know a lot of other people who will be just as annoyed. But, who knows, this game is bound to have setbacks, and may very well have high speed in the near (in immortal standards) future.

Its preety dissapointing. If this turns out to be like the previous Star Wars MMOs then the game is doomed to failure.
I definetely wont be buing the 360 now...
